If R2 is a board designator then it will be a resistor.
Suggest you post a good clear picture of where it is/was on the board and one of the pieces left.
Please upload pictures using attachment function when ask for help on the repair

OK - can you take it off the board and see if anything is written on the other side -please also measure the diameter in mm

Great!!! I think it is a varistor it probably looking for something like this tho 300v seems a bit high.

If Tom66 sees the post he may advise better I will look after tea, see if I can see a value for it- I see there is a repair kit for this model but cant see a value for the R2.
I was a bit cheeky once and asked them the value for a part in a kit and they came back quite quickly with an answer - you could try them

300VAC is fine for that part.

                    Thanks from me too Tom

Id say you would be lucky if only that blew. Have a look at the list of components in the
repair kit and test as many as you can.

Check fuse is OK. That component usually only fail if hit by big power surge, which is rare in UK.

"the fuse is blown and when i replace it it just blows again" R2 is already removed?
Are the MOV (R2) pins connected to the L and N pin of the AC connection or one pin is connect to the fuse (load side)?
