    Samsung LN40A630M1FXZA

Problem: tv turns on after a few reboots sometimes pictures comes on with lines, then clicking noise. Then when it does come on and stay on I have a choppy picture and sound. Signal strength up and down confirmed but its just this tv. My cable feed is fine. All stations are like this expect for a few music stations that have a still picture. From the menu button screen is fine. Took the back off to check the caps someone had replaced the all 4 to 25v caps. There is one thats a different color but still the same value. There are still a few 10v caps but they look fine. I read somewhere to replace the 10v caps out for 16V ones is that correct? Other question I have is the choppy sound and audio can that be related to the power board or something on the mainboard ?

Board looks like it took some heat near the two black capacitors

Try heating the power supply board with hair dryer for 2~3 minutes to see if it gets better.

Heat will cause the ESR of the bad (not too far gone) to go down which then the circuit will start to function correctly again.

going to tear the caps out anyways only 10 dollars ordered a kit even tho they look good there a few 10v ones in there. replacing all 10. I hate replacing parts that may be good but who knows i dont have a tester to check them on the board.

Strange if I hook up a dvd player to it the picture & sound if flawless. It does still take a long time to turn on and I still get lines all over screen but when out off cable mode it works fine? Makes me think its something on the main board may be the problem, any thoughts or help would be great. Thanks in advance people.

1st pic looks just like poor cable/antenna signal to me. Is that just me?

Did the blow dryer trick to the power board no change so I did the same on the main board and the picture came in perfect thanks to budm, now if I can isolate what part it is and change it out it would save me buying a main board. Problem seems to be in the upper left hand corner near cable plugs, see post #2, theirs no caps like on the main board there but if someone can steer me in the right direction i would take a crack at it. Soldiering is not a problem.

Its back poor picture problem just as before. I stream netflix and picture is fine. Main Board problem again, last one only lasted 3 months, used. Should there be something else to look for? Anyone have any knowledge to exactly what goes on these main boards? Cable end of the board is the problem, week signal choppy picture popping noise sometimes, reboots sometimes. But I can stream netflix with no problem!
