Hey all, yesterday my Samsung TV I bought in fall of 2009 quit working - hit the "ON" button and sound would come on, picture would come up, then picture would go out, then come back on, then go back out, then come on again for the third time, then no picture after that - sound from channel would be playing through the whole process.
After searching the internet I found out that Samsung had a problem with their capacitors bulging and maybe leaking, and changing them out would fix this. I also believe that the inverter/power board is the problem, but I'm not 100% sure of this, only from what I've found on the net.
I removed the back and checked the caps on the inverter/power board and they all look good - no bulging or leaking. Here's some pics of the back with the cover off.
Yesterday I checked to see if there was a faint image with a flashlight and at first I could see it, then today I checked again and couldn't see anything.
I'm hoping I can get help in fixing this TV, if it's the inverter/power board, main board or T-Con board? and I'm hoping that it's not too technical or requires specialized tools otherwise I may just buy the boards I need. Thanks in advance.
