Re: LG37LF66 - video but no sound - not t-con not power supply

Well after heating the PSU and encountering the issue it certainly points at the PSU failing.... Can you take the reading in order from the psu to the mainboard and note each one down whilst fine/flickering and off and post results here.

    E.g

    FINE:

    Pin 1 - 0VDC
    Pin 2 - 5VDC
    Pin 3 - 12VDC

    Flickering:

    Pin 1 0VDC

    You get the idea.

Re: LG37LF66 - video but no sound - not t-con not power supply

well I have done my check.. and I think it will be quite unsuccessful...
Unluckily the flichering is not long enought for me to get the reading.. but they seems the some also when it was flickering..

I will use the hair dryer again to focus on the mainboard. I think it is the issue.. i watched tv with the board sligly lifted ( to increase hair flow and I managed to watch tv for over 2 hours.. ). Just a few extra points, the screen resolution changes every 5-6 minutes.. its just slightly.. but it streaches.. and then stretches back after few minutes...

for example on e4.. i can see the singer name and the title of the song, that i change and the song name is out of the screen.. then change again.. and so forth... there is no real patter..

Another point is that if I watch HD channel the problem comes earlier ( but i assume is because it makes more effort to show the program..)

      This are the reading..

Vizio e601i-A3 - Has Sound and Display, But No Backlight - Bad Power Supply Board or Bad LED Bulbs ?
        by Tynan Dill
I was given this TV from my great uncle. He said it just wouldn't turn on one day out of nowhere, replaced the TV, and gave it to me to possibly fix and use for myself.

Upon bringing it home and plugging it up, it showed a standby light.

I powered it on and without a flashlight, the display showed the "V" but the lighting is very dim, but visible.

The screen seems to blackout and stay black, but with a flashlight I can see the display.

With my Playstation 4 connected via HDMI, and running a game I can hear sound.

        Assuming...

Desoldering gun station modified to use a 18 volt @ 20 amp switching power supply
        by sam_sam_sam
I have wanting to do this project for quite sometime now and I finally found a switching power supply that will work on this desoldering gun station ZD-915 that the original switching power supply took a shit and just was not worth trying to fix it because this switching power is not quite big enough to handle the heater element and the vacuum pump

One note when I tested the switching power supply and the voltage control board I noticed that this desoldering gun heat up much faster than the original switching power supply which I was really surprised by to the point that I might buy...

A2442 - No sound over internal speakers and no video playback
        by soeren
I am facing a strange issue, I don't have any sound over my internal MacBook speakers and also the video won't start. If I change to my head speaker or via HDMI (speaker on my external Display) the sound works over the head speaker or Display and also the video starts (ex. youtube).

All happened after the battery ran out of power overall several days when I was on vacation.

I tried to remove the battery and then reconnected the battery, and then the MacBook Pro 14 2021 won't accept any power from my power socket. Then I removed one speaker, connected again the battery...

Audio video receiver KENWood KR-V990D,no sound
        by JRade
When I select the FM receiver, I find a radio station, the sound is heard on REC OUT(L,R), REC TAPE1(L,R),REC TAPE2(L,R) on high-ohm headphones, the sound regulation does not work.
The output reacts when I connect the record player to PRE OUT FRONT L, the sound is heard in the speaker but the sound regulation does not work. Then it does not matter what I chose on the front selector.
I replaced the capacitor C303/0.047F, nothing changes.
I'm asking for help, what should I do next?
        Thanks in advance!...

MSI MS-16JF no video memory power supply
        by larSS
Hello! Has an msi ms-16JF motherboard with a diagnosis "doesn't work". There were a short-circuit on video memory lane. Removed GPU and video memory, changed TPS51916 and transistor on it's lane. Motherboard works OK, has the initialization and video card voltage. But has no video memory voltage. Should there be a video memory voltage without video chip or no? Has the S5 signal 3.3V on TPS51916
