Sony KDL-32S20L1 BU Board Locked ??

I have an 06 Bravia KDL-32S20L1 - with 3 blinking red on stand-by. After lots of pinpoint testing, I've narrowed it down to the BU Board (lC7001).

Can I just purchase another board (new or used) and install it - or -
would whatever proprietary/protected encryption on the board prevent me from doing that ???

I'd hate to throw away a perfectly good TV because it's Encrypted.

If it's the only main board with video inputs on it, then it should not be a problem.

I'm gonna take shot and just order one. I'll see what happens later in the week - when it gets here.
