Yep, you're right Tom. Its the upper right tab. No fixing this one. It didn't come loose, it actually had a tiny tear in it. I pressed on it and the picture came in perfect. Pressed it again and everything went out. Tear got worse I guess. I tore the whole tab off now just to see how it worked. It doesn't look that dificcult. I can't believe they don't make replacement tabs.I know they are supposedly put on with a 6 million dollar machine, but that doesn't mean its the only way it can be done. If its about alignment and pressure, I'm quite sure I could make a jig for it.

You and me both buddy. You know how many good panels gone with the wind I have tried to repair cause of some stupid tab bond issue!
Did I leave the soldering iron on?

Gonna be a bunch of parts hitting eBay. I paid $80 for this. I know I can get that and more back. Just really wanted to fix it. I've got 3 or 4 people asking me when I'll have a TV ready. That's the good thing, get them working and they go fast. Thanks for the help Tom.

I can only imagine what this would cost, but this place claims to be able to replace TABs with "recovered TABs". I guess that means they take them from other panels. Its i n the UK though.https://www.google.com/url?sa=t&sour...53760139,d.dmg

70LE660U dark cloud or black screen with sound.
              by Rozp
              Hello Everyone,

This is my first post so I will try to be as precise as possible without making this post too long winded. Unfortunately I don't have pictures of the original problem but I included images of the TV internals.

I have a Sharp 70LE660U. The problem started a few months ago with the bottom row looking out of sync and was dark on the left side and then fading to transparent on the right side. Shortly after, a dark cloud appeared in the center of the screen. The dark cloud started small and shaded but the image was visible. It also affected the menu area....

HP ENVY all-in-one 27 b208na screen dark one side
              by FitPaul
I have a HP ENVY all-in-one 27 b208na with the screen dark on one side. I expect it's due to a faulty back light or inverter on that side.

My question is where is the inverter located? In the base or behind the display. How do I dismantle the display to check the backlights? I tried to take off the back cover but it cannot be removed completely so does not give good access to the display. Should I gain access to the display from the front?

Magnum IA.100 Amplifier Switches on, No Output, Possible Input Side fault?
              by flibidy
I have here a Magnum IA.100 which belongs to my parents.

The unit powers on & when the relay kicks in, you get a pop from the speakers (this might sound weird but is usual behavior for this amp). However, you get nothing coming through it from any of the inputs & no pops and crackls from any of the controls.

Because of the sound from the speaker when the amp turns on I have assumed that the output section probably works but I could be wrong & I'm not sure how to test that side of things further.

              Problem

This is an LG edge LED lit LCD Display. The LEDs are on the bottom edge of the display. There are 2 bars (left and right) Each bar has many LEDs and a 6 pin connector. Each pin drive several LEDs thus is the highest current flow / heat junction. The weak lead free solder gradually fails with thermal expansion/contraction cycling and increases resistance. PSU will compensate up to a point, then when the current is too high, PSU just shut down the backlight causing a dark display. I have even seen one which the connector just fell off as solder points became completely detached....
