    Hisense lcd40v57ca buzzing

I would appreciate if someone could help me with a Hisense lcd40v57ca which has a buzzing sound from the back, that sounds like high voltage arching/escaping?
A 390uF 250wv cap on the power supply board is swollen up on top.
Also the tv will cycle on/off after it has been on awhile.

Does anyone know where I can obtain a 390uF 250wv cap in Canada?

    Thank You

You can find a cap in that size at Digi-Key. What was the original brand of the capacitor, and what are the dimensions of it? If the power board used cheap caps throughout it, while you're at it you might want to replace the rest of those too. Pictures are welcome

Often the plastic dome of a capacitor can bulge without the capacitor being failed, if it has a plastic cover. If you can push the dome down flat, the capacitor is likely OK.

            The largest cap 390uF 250wv 105deg ( 3 cm x 3 cm ) which is bulged, is a brown SamYoung cap.
Others have TLC and S symbols.
The 390uF cap seems to be buzzing when the TV is On and emitting a whistle when the TV is Off/Standby.
When the TV is turned ON the buzzing begins and after approximately 15 min. the screen begins blinking periodically.
Does anyone have a list of good cap manufacturers.

            Thank You.

Is it true that increasing the voltage of a capacitor ( ex: 250wv to 350wv ) will shorten the life of the board.

If anything the complete opposite. The capacitor voltage ratng is a maximum, not what it operates at.

The main issue may be dimensions - check capacitor will fit before ordering. Compare dimensions on the Digikey page to the physical dimensions of the failed capacitor.

Replaced 390uF 250wv cap ( with 300wv Panasonic from Digi-Key) in the power supply.
                                      Problem solved, no more buzzing.

Anyone familiar with a pair of faint light horizontal lines moving up the LCD screen which are most visible on dark background or night time programs?
I think these lines were called sound bars on older CRT televisions.

Hey Folks just got another Hisense with an unusual Problem.

After plugging in its starts buzzing on the cold side. Could not located it 100%, but seems like transformer/capacitor.

TV has 1 horizontal Line, often static. After 10min screen gets flickering and after about 20min screen gets Black while Sound is on. After turning off and on screen appears back for about 5min and then went Black again.

                                          I checked LED Voltage:
While Screen is on about 115v
While Screen is Black also about 115v
                                          LED Connection unplugged also 115v
                                          ...

                                          Hey folks,

I'm not a professional, but I do have a decent amount of knowledge when it comes to electronic repairs.

A friend of mine recently bought a brand new Hisense 75” 4K QLED Smart TV (75E7NQTUK) but unfortunately, he cracked the screen just a few days later. Luckily, he had insurance and got a replacement right away but weirdly enough, the insurance company never asked for the broken unit back.

So, I took it off his hands and figured I'd try to repair it myself rather than see it go to waste. I've been searching for a replacement screen but can't...

                                          Hello,

I accidentally changed the project ID in the service menu of my Vidaa Hisense 100U7KQ TV. When I turn on the TV, the screen displays an RGB color cycle (test mode???). I contacted Hisense, and they sent me a usb_MTK_9618.EU.bin file, but it doesn't work. I can see that the USB drive is being read, and it flashes for about 10 minutes (the screen remains in the color cycle during the firmware reading), then the TV turns off and restarts, but still in the color cycle mode.

I want to mention that the 4GB USB is formatted in FAT32 MBR. I've also renamed the file to...

The PSU works, but shortly after powering on (either in the G5, or by shorting the power-on pin to ground) it begins buzzing loudly. It also makes the LED lights connected to the same circuit flicker. It's definitely a buzzing, not a high pitched whine.

The buzzing seems to come from the high voltage side of the board, perhaps from the white relay. Could the relay be bad, or could the 5V supply be bad enough that it's unable to keep the relay on? Any pointers to help isolate the issue? Thanks!

                                          HISENSE 65H6510G (13 AUGUST 2020)

When powered on, initial splash screen (HISENSE ANDROID TV) displays for a few seconds then power shuts off. Tried updating firmware with USB flash drive (can't find 4GB drive but did format larger drive in FAT32) with no luck. Flash drive would be accessed but would never get to the update process. I have ordered a board (RSAG7.820.7911/ROH, PART# 242585) from eBay which will arrive in a few days. Does anyone have any input of whether I am chasing down the right trail or should I be trying something else? I appreciate your time and wish to say thank...
