    Would this work.

I may have to cut some stuff out off the case but this board looks to have same connections hmmm

Thought this might work but seems the ctrl boards are different.

If the CTRL boards are different, no guarantee at all.

yeah not going to risk it.

I have just contacted someone with a non-working same tv on ebay.
          Asked what their symptoms are
Theres seems like a PSU problem, cause its not turning on full stop.

So I am buying the psu and mainboard.

Buying the PSU to cover my butt, if the mainboard is faulty.

The rest I am going to kindly help them get rid of.
Z-sus and Y-sus and controller board Y-driver board.

            Re: LG 42PG60UD - Clicking & cycling on/off

Well guess what this gamble paid off.

The main board I bought works, inspected the PSU I also bought at the sometime as warranty as they are usually easy to fix if faulty.
It was a blown fuse on his PSU.

So Discovered mainboard has a different arm chip to genuis one.
So I don't know if this fault will occur again. Hope not.

                Hi @Amraks.

Hope you are doing well. I realize this is a 9 year old thread but .... will give it a shot ;-) Do you by any chance have a complete service manual for the LG 42PG60UD? I have an LG 42PG20D that has the same main board (one less HDMI port soldered on).

                Thank you.

                  by beetle1303
I gotten a Carver CM-1090 amplifier from a friend who has kept it in storage for decades. Opened it up, thick layer of dust cumulated everywhere. Vacuumed it semi-cleaned, and blown off as much as possible the remaining dust. This is a 220V version.

On initial powered up with nothing connected - it works with all the lights and button indicator lit up as pressed, etc. I then powered off, connected a CD player into the CD RCA input and powered it on. It seemed to work for a short while and when I turned the volume up and down to see the the VUs works, the power started to clicked off...

Hello everybody, I could use some help on this one... It's got me guessing...
I took pictures of all the boards and the pin out of the connector on the power supply that goes to the main board... I measured all the pins in relation to chassis ground, here are the result.

                  (B13v)1. 12.7 volts cycling (Vamp) 2. 12.7 volts cycling
                  (B13v)3. 12.7 volts cycling (PWM5) 4. 1.0 volts cycling

plasma TV Lg 42w451 - why is the zsus igbts damaged when the ysus is plugged?
                  by Salvatore057
                  Hi all,
I am trying to fix my plasma TV which is not powering on due to damaged IGBTs. I have changed two igbts and 2 IC drivers on the zsus and also two igbts on the ysus.
Now everytime I plugged the ZSUS and the YSUS boards to the power board, the two 30f124 IGBT on the ZSUS are damaged and the TV stays in standby mode. When I plug the ZSUS board alone the TV turns ON but I do not see pictures. When I plug the ZSUS board without the two 30f124 IGBTs and the YSUS board, the TV powers on with a picture.
I am lost, should I change the YSUS board? Is the YSUS board damaging...

                  Hi all

There's two other threads about this monitor with seemingly the same problem. The problem was resolved in one case by replacing the entire PSU board and in the second one by replacing an unknown IC.

                  https://www.badcaps.net/forum/showthread.php?t=40512

The first one has pictures of the pcbs and I noticed that there's one IC and assorted caps not populated on mine (but the PCB itself looks identical) so I thought that'd warrant a new thread.

It's my dad's old monitor. He...

LG 60PB6650 - Bad ZSUS (3.8v to YSUS instead of 16v)?
                  by JDC
                  Make and Model: LG 60PB6650-UA
Issue: Turns on, no backlight, can hear static (no channel)

I've been repairing TVs for a couple years now. I know how to use a multimeter for the most part and know how to test most components for shorts.

The power board connects to the ZSUS and then connects to the YSUS. The ZSUS is where I believe the failure is because the 16v line is only 3.8V, even when I disconnect the ZSUS from the YSUS.

This particular model seems to have a common failure with its YSUS. My goal earlier was to prove the YSUS was bad so I could...
