    Element ELCHW321 Wacky Function Control

Got this TV with no remote. Powers up and works. Buttons on side of TV don't work correctly, menu keeps popping up no matter what you press except power.

Programmed a universal remote and can get things to happen but menu keeps popping up in between every function.

Opened up TV and unplugged the key board controller from main board and the remote control works normally.

Is this just something wrong with the keyboard controller board or could it be the main board?

Probably a stuck menu button on the key controller or a bad controller. They are usually cheap on ebay, if you can find one.

They are available but the button does not seem to be stuck and checked it with ohmeter. There is nothing really to it but a few push button switches, a few SMD resistors and 2 SMD caps. This is why I thought maybe the main board. There is also an EEPROM chip available but not sure if that would cause this issue.

what if you cut the wires to the menu switch and hook up a micro switch to eliminate the actual switch. if it works, change out the gang of switches and if it doesn't, just reattach the wiring that you have tapped into.

You guys were right it was a bad keyboard/button control board, I replaced with a new one for $10 and it works fine.

I guess even though the switches tested good it must have been intermittently opening and closing!

            There is a motherboard Gigabyte H610M S2H V2 (DDR5), I can't find boardview
Help to identify the element, marking on the element - C31PH. It stands next to the USB 3.0 and it looks like it is ESD Protect chip. We need a datasheet to this element. Maybe someone has already identified such an element. Help please.

LG 60PK550 Logic Control Board EBR63450301
            by Yanleb
Hi all, I just want to share the repair of my 60PK550-UA TV set.

The TV set was powering on, just no image. After verification, nothing wrong on the YSus or ZSus boards. Nothing wrong on the main board either.

But I noticed that the LED was not flashing on the Logic Control Board. This is an EBR63450301. The LED is supposed to flash even with all the flat cables disconnected, with only the power cable attached.

All the voltages measured at the electrolytic capacitors on the board were good. From top left to bottom right:
            C57: 3.30V
            C61:...

The best way to drive a heating element?
            by EasyGoing1
I've got this circuit that I've been playing with on a breadboard. I'm not happy with it mainly because the MOSFET gets too hot and generally controlling the temp of the heating element with the Arduino has proven to be a little more cumbersome than I would like.

What I would like to know, is what is the best way to set up a circuit like this? The heating element is just a PCB and its going to be mounted under a 3D-printed enclosure that a lizard will use to warm his belly.

This is the general setup that I have now.

            This is what the...

Heater element wire type instead of a fuse when troubleshooting a short circuit DIY
            by sam_sam_sam
I was Ollie today which is a close out / surplus outlet store I do not go in there to often because you find things that you should not be tempted by but that is a another story

I saw a small space heater that used a wire type of heater element which I been looking for a while but not really hard mind you but when I saw this I grabbed it I going to go back tomorrow and buy the last one that is like the one I bought today because I need the heater element and the ceramic insulators and more of heat element wire because this one has two different wattage settings one 1300 watts ( tap...
