hi does anyone know whats causing this I stripped down tv reseated every connector clip and ribbon cable

Probably a digital board problem. Try this test.

done this test very dark screen with some specklies and a light flashing on tcon board

what was I looking for

Did you see any faint test patterns, or the same images as before?

just a dark screen mate infact it was hard to tell tv was on

Can you show me how you did the test pattern jumper, may be different for this older model.

connected it all back together minus ldvs cable

OK, it sounds like you have a control board fault (that board there.) I'd try replacing that. The dim image may also be caused by a bad X-main, or the control board being bad, however the noise can only really be caused by that board.

thanks tom well it only dimmed when doing that jumper otherwise its like top picture
