Any idea how to reset a lamp error on a Sharp LED LC52LE830U

I'm starting a new thread with this tv because it's a new issue.

    https://www.badcaps.net/forum/showthread.php?t=29947

I bought this TV due to a lightning strike. I replaced the PSU and got the set to work only to find out the HDMI inputs are non functional. I bought a used main board via eBay and now I'm getting a 1-1 code which represents a lamp error. My original board will let the set power on so I believe the error is in the new main board.

The service menu says, "Note that after five detection counts, the lamp cannot be activated except in the monitor process."

I suspect the tv that this board came out of had a broken screen which triggered the lamp error. The original owner may have powered the set on and off with the lamp error to trigger the protection mode. It looks like the only way to reset the board is through the service menu when the tv is working.

So this is my question. Is there a way to fix this or is the new board junk?

No luck. As soon as the TV is plugged in, it starts flashing the code. Even with me holding the buttons down while my son plugs the TV in, it just starts flashing and doesn't respond to the touch pads. With the original main board in, there is a relay click when plugged in. With the new board, there is no relay click. I've contacted the seller and waiting for a reply.

"except in monitor process", any way you can see to enter "monitor" process. Button combination might be different for US model too.

I can get into the monitor process with the original main board but I can't with the new board. It's completely unresponsive while the LED flashes. I was really hoping to hear of an EEPROM reset or something.

If you have the service manual find out how you enter service mode you should be able to scroll down to reset lamp error activate that do not touch anything else

It won't let me into service mode. It won't turn on at all. It never goes into standby, it just flashes the 1-1 code continuously until you unplug it.

Most new Sharp TVs have a service mode that can be accessed via USB. Have you tried that?

Heya, I've got a 46' 832U with the same issue. Were you ever able to get this working?

So even though the LED flash code on the front was pointing to the LED/Drive board (big one, center tv) it ended up being the main board (smaller board with A/V inputs) that had to be replaced?

As the original post says, my problem was no HDMI's. This was an eBay main board bought to fix that. When installed in the TV, the LED flashed 1-1. It had apparently come from a set with a bad LED strip in it. I had to get a refund from the seller.

                            Hello everyone!
I just acquired a Sharp Aquos for free.
When I plug it in, it will try to power on, but it fails.
The "error code" is 1 long flash, then 1 short flash, which suggests it is a lamp error code, according to the manuals.
                            I did a bit of research and did what I found could be the possible issues;
I removed the back panel, checked for continuity on both fuses where the power cable connects, and I get somewhere around 0.05. That should be good.
I also tested the leads going into the psu board from the wall connector; I get 120V.
                            I disconnected...

                            Hi,
My lamp has going to end its life by counter, but lamp phisically seems to be in good condition.
As far as I get known there is atmel 24c64 eeprom used to save lamp life counter. Here is dump of it but unfortunately there is no counter in plain text.
Maybe someone has clear dump of it or has tips how to set counter value.

                            best regards...

I replaced 2 strips in this unit and was able to get it to turn on by pressing v- channel up and then power button. This unit has touch type controls.I went into menu each one and done a reset but when i unplug unit im back to powering up with v-,channel up and power. The lamp error isnt resetting. Is there special method for these non conventional control button units or is reset procedure done from remote in menu setup?

                            Hello Sharp TV experts
Our Sharp LC-80LE642U displays one short one long flash error code which is a backlight error. I went into service mode and there were 8 lamp error counts recorded. I reset the count to 0 and did a reset. The last monitor error cause was 16 B00014639:12. 16 is the code for backlight error. I tried to power the tv up but went back into error mode.
