    sony kdl-32l5000

I have a 2009 Sony KDL-32L5000 LCD tv that i use mostly as a computer monitor. A few days ago it developed a weird inverted ghost image that flickers and is present in both input signals and the tv's on screen menu. It was originally present for about two days then went away for a day and returned. It seems funny to me that the ghost image is inverted vertically. I am thinking its the T-Con board, but would like a second opinion.

The kdl-32l4000 version suffers from tab bond issues:

Thanks, that looks similar. Would that cause image inversion also?

Ah, didn't pay close enough attention to the inverted image. I wonder if you have a main board problem. Main board and panel issues are common in Sonys when they fail, so I'd suspect one or the other.

Both effects can be caused by tab bonds. Inverted picture on its own sometimes can be caused by tab bonds on some panels -- not sure how but it is a known, fairly uncommon issue.

The t-con would be cheapest part to replace, so I might give it a shot.

i played with the bonds while the tv was on to no avail. I think your right im just gonna throw a different t-con in it and see what happens. Thanks for your help guys.
