    TH-42PD60U 10 blink code

I followed the troubleshooting chart found here for 10 blinks before presing the power button http://tsn.pstc.panasonic.com/PASS/o...ing_Charts.pdf and I made it to the final step in which I am supposed to look for 14v coming off of P10 connector.

I am actually getting 17v off of that connector. I used a schematic of the board found here http://www.toms-service-manuals.com/...&mfg=Panasonic and I traced the 17V back as far as D536 which I have highlighted in the attached jpg. There is a transformer just before the diodes, but I see any marked voltages before that so I'm not sure how to troubleshoot.

This is where I am getting stuck. When I plug in the TV I get 3 (sounds like 4 actually) quick successive clicks, which from other posts I have found here indicates that I am "not getting 14v" at P10, so I think that I should assume it is the PS. However, I am really not confident about this. Any advice?

I believe 10 blinks is 15V failure, which could be over-voltage. Causes can include bad feedback circuit, bad voltage references and bad capacitors, the latter being rare on Panasonic sets.

Thanks, Tom. Any suggestions on how to continue my troubleshooting to find the damaged components?

Try to attach a 15 ohm, 20 watt resistor to the 15V line. If it stays as 17V, suspect feedback/reference, if it drops, suspect capacitor or other fault.

Ok, I just ordered the parts to test this with. Out of curiosity, how did you derive the resistor values and how will this tell me that the issue is reference as opposed to a PS fault?

            Re: TH-42PD60U 10 blink code

            17V / 15 ohms = approx 1 amp load
The 15V line on these is usually capable of around 3 to 4 amps.
            Power dissipation determined by I^2 * R = 15 ohms * 1 amp = 15W. Select 20W to be safe.

Power supply feedback will act to keep the output at the setpoint, even if the setpoint is wrong. If this circuit is at fault, then the output will not significantly drop under load. If it does drop, it points to another fault in the power supply.

Panasonic ZT60 plasma tv with strange behavior and 8 blink code
              by cloo
I recently got my hands on a 60" Panasonic P60ZT60 plasma tv (european model) that has some strange issues along with an 8 blink code.
It know this tv is getting old but it was once considered one of the best plasmas ever made, and i think it is still holds on to that even by todays standards.

So, long story short. When i first got the tv it had a very bright washed out picture with very raised blacks in all picture modes and i couldn't find the cause in the picture setting menus.
After doing a factory reset this problem was gone and the picture was back to...

Panasonic Plasma repair - TH-P60GT50 - Dead, 3 blink code
              by rmacintosh
I aquired this Panasonic 60" plasma around the time my first child was born. It was meant to be a project tv, hoping to fix it chipping away at the repair in my free time. Well that was 2 years ago and i'm really just getting around to making a sincere effort to see if I can ressurect this beast.

The symptoms of the tv ar as follows:
              • Plug AC in to back of TV
              • After about 2 seconds the relay on the P-sub board will click on and then a fraction of a second later it clicks back off
              • The 3 blink code is given by the power LED
              • If the TV is unplugged and then

2 red blink code on old led tv Sony KDL-40W2000
              by reporter1979
Hi all, the TV KDL-40W2000 was flashed by a lightning.
Firstly I got the 3 red blink code.

Following other threads I changed the power supply board and got always 3 blinks.
So I changed also the mainboard and now I get 2 blinks error code. Tried also with the other ps board, still getting 2 blinks.

The TV turns on for a minute or two with green led and blank screen, if I press buttons the green led blinks fast. It turns to 2 red blinking led after a while.
              What else can I do?...

Dell AW 13 R3 with cpu failure blink code
              by loran
              Hi all!

I was working on my emails and suddenly the system crashed in an instant. No life sign at all. Not even power leds.
On the mainboard a mosfet was burnt (see picture) so I decided to replace the two mosfets with new AON7422G.
The part numbers are PQ300 and PQ301 (see schematics).

After the replacement the laptop shows 2 red and 1 blue blink code.
That's a cpu failure code according to Dell.
Does that mean the repair went well?

I read that a corrupt bios could be the cause for cpu failure code so I created a bios dump...
