    Sony Bravia KDL-60Ex700 5 Blinks

I just acquired this Sony TV and I'm in the process of troubleshooting the issue with it. I checked to see if any of the caps were bulging but they seem to be fine. I already found a site that lists the Blink codes but I am unsure if this is the correct list for my TV.
    here is the link:

I have already replaced the T-Con board in an attempt to fix the issue but the TV still shows the same symptoms. when you power on the TV it stays on for about 5 seconds then goes into standby mode. On the initial power up the back-light does not "power on" it looks like the screen is not getting any power. any help would be greatly appreciated

Here's service manual for your Model Page 9 has your error codes

I had a KDL-40EX400 Sony which had the same issue removing the LVDS cable and cleaning both ends of LVDS cable as well the connector on the main board corrected my issues, also have seen some bad LVDS cables during boot time sony does send handshaking signals from main to the T-con
and if these are not present back @ the main board set will throw the 5 blink code

Sony Bravia KDL-70W850B T-CON board / software update issue
        by eclectric
Hi, I'm hoping someone can help me with this issue before I give up on this TV.

In short, I replaced the T-CON board due to an error code indicating that was the problem, after which it flashed a green and orange LED meaning software update required. I cannot get the tv to do the required update via USB, so I am stuck.

Here is a rundown of the symptoms and the steps I have taken to troubleshoot:

I inherited the TV with the symptom that it would turn on, then turn off after 5-10 seconds and a red LED flashed 4 or 5 times. Sometimes it would be 4, sometimes...

Issue with picture quality of Sony bravia TV
        by CyberPhoenix
Hello, Last week I bought the 50" Sony X80j tv everything was working fine, untill I plugged the tv in a ups power supply 650va the tv remote control became unresponsive and the TV became laggy after a while the picture quality isn't the same as before the tv seems less brighter and the picture is somehow blurry, people's faces don't look as natural as before, there is a mini orange-pink tint to the edge of people's faces especially in NETFLIX Dolby Vision like in One Piece ep1 Alvida skin tone, my intention was to protect the tv but something went wrong I checked the ups with a multimeter,...

Optiplex 3050 micro 2 blinks followed by 3 blinks issue
        by Taurus12
Does anyone have an idea of what might be the issue with my 3050 micro? I have tried replacing new cmos battery but still the same

I am not sure if its the powersupply that I'm using is the issue since its the original powersupply. its a laptop powersupply with the same specifications with the 3050 micro so i guess it should be fine.

i also tried replacing the bios but with no avail, everytime i try another bios it gives a different blinking lights

Any recommendation on what I have to do next? Thanks in advance

Sony Bravia KDL-40V2500 that will not power on
        by PopsCaps
I have a Sony Bravia KDL-40V2500 that will not power on. The indicator flashes red 3 times.
I do not hear any sound and I cannot see any backlight.
I have tried disconnecting every cable on each board one at a time to see if anything changes.
The only change is when I disconnect AC-DET cable on the Power Supply board or on the other end if I unplug the CN7009 connection on the B-Board and try to power on the TV the indicator will stay on solid green until I power off.
My friend ordered another used power supply board but it is also doing the red indicator flash 3 times...

        Sony A1e 5-blinks help
        by jchon
Hi I'm new to trying to repair TVs, but I saw a broken OLED offered for a reasonable price and thought I'd try my hand at it.

I found the service manual, which was critical to know where to probe.
        https://www.manualslib.com/manual/20...1e-Series.html

With it I was able to determine that my DKA board was bad, when P_ON#1/2 gets enabled REG_12 on the DKA board collapses. I'm assuming one of the downstream regulators has a short, but I couldn't work out which rail/component and replaced the DKA board entirely.

        Unfortunately the 5-blinks...
