Grundig Vision 3 26-3942T/C lcd tv dead

FSP139-3F01 smps power supply, and it got me stumped.
fuse was blowing, found the diode bridge with one shorted diode, but even with bridge out, the circuit doesn't really act like a typical smps, where one expects to see resistance go up as mains lytic is charging up (i have analog meter on low ohms in both directions, and digital meter show around 400-500 in diode test, also in both directions).

what interests me the most is the design with 3 chips, ie what is the purpose of u601/q601 circuit?
(chips on soldering side have their markings erased)

also, what's this j108, r501-502,j109 link of mains (unrectified) power to somewhere around u501?

i plan to unhok the L602 to see if the short circuit is in that branch.

i bet it's the standard way of doing lcd supply, but surely a first for me...

pix attached (some jumpers and diodes are cut from above, that was me searching for the short circuit)

(btw. grundig was a famous german brand that is now mostly turkish/chinese labour and parts)

Grundig Vision 9 37 9880 T USB (Chassis SR) TV Repair Help - Distorted Subwoofer Sound and overall weird sound waveforms
    by LEECH666
    Good day ladies and gentleman!

I am currently trying to repair a Grundig Vision 9 37 9880 T USB LCD TV for a friend that has a weird audio problem. Basically everything works fine except for the heavily distorted sound when the Subwoofer module is connected and there is a buzzing sound coming from the PSU PCB.

This seems to be a rather rare TV so there is not much prior on topic help to be found however a service manual is available at the usual sources (Electro Tanya i.e.).

I think the PSU buzzing comes from one of the coils near the bridge rectifier but...

Zombie Samsung UN55NU6900F dead / no standby voltage - randomly came to life after hours of troubleshooting then died
    by tvguy12012012120
This is my first attempt at troubleshooting a board like this, I know I could just buy a new board but I'm curious to figure out how this works. I've been testing different components in the evenings this week and I think the problem is with the IC failing to start up for some reason. When the board is plugged in there is no standby voltage.

Then today it randomly sprung to life like a zombie but shortly died thereafter. I have no idea why it would have done that and its the first time I've seen it running. I discharged capacitors on the board last night, then it was sitting today....

Mitsubishi CNC switching power supply board dead / relay board bad diode failure
    by sam_sam_sam
I was working on this CNC machine today found no keyboard functioning no control relay powering on
The screen powered on and was giving an operation error but the manual was not very clear about what the error exactly was but with a little bit of troubleshooting and finding out that the control relays not powering on and no keyboard functions we narrowed down to this one switching power supply which of course does not have any indicator LED light they are on the keyboard interface/relay controller board

Found shorted diodes on main controller relays there are 3 of them that...

iMac power supply short-circuit diode to ground
    by pcardoso73
    Hi,
I have an iMac with the power supply reference: ADP-200DFB.

This power supply is not working and when trying to debug the problem with a multimeter, I found what I thought to be a short circuited diode (the short-circuit is to ground).

With the continuity test it beeps both ways, so doesn't block current flow at all then reverse biased. But after removing the diode the beep continues and the diode seems healthy. It seems to exist a real short-circuit.

As I have another ADP-200DFB power supply (faulty one as well), I have checked the same...

    Dead Corsair TX650M
    by quicknick
    Hello everyone,

PSU is made in late 2019 and seems barely used judging by the lack of dust on its innards.
+5Vsb is all right, grounding PS_on results in a relay clicking and nothing more, all outputs dead without even a flinch.

Checked inside, at first glance all seemed ok but then noticed something on the primary heatsink, which I promptly removed along with all its attached devices - there were clear signs of insulation breakdown above the C3D04060 diode. The device was overtightened from factory and the tab squished the sil-pad, it all was a matter of time,...
