Quite a few years ago now, a couple of years from new, my Samsung Syncmaster 740BF LCD monitor starting playing up by making a buzzing noise and then the display would go blank. I seem to remember the blue power led would also go off when this happened but that I'm not 100% sure of. I have a Samsung 4K QN49Q6FAM in my RV. The front windshield was leaking a little (just the odd drop) and it was landing on the front of the screen so I picked it up and moved it. Since then, as soon as you plug it in the backlight comes on and then it restarts, the backlight comes on, and it restarts. In other words, it's re-booting continually and there is no display.
I took the rear cover off, no signs of moisture period. And when I looked at it more closely, it's pretty near impossible that any water got in it.
