    Phillips 50pfp5332/37

Picked up a 50 Phillips Plasma tv, that would turn on for 5 minutes then shut down. Ordered a set of boards found, bad pfc on power supply, and bad main tuner board.

So everything is working properly now,EXCEPT for when you go to shut tv down, screen shuts off as it should, but main board and power supply stay on? Never seen this issue before, the only way I can get tv to fully power down is to unplug it.

How do you know the two boards are still powered up?

The green led's are still lit. And I don't get the relays clicking to power down.

After it "powers down", can you turn it back on again?

yes. But there is no relays clicking on power up either, its not shutting down all the way, just turning the pdp off.

Perhaps it has a timer recording enabled? My Panasonic uses 20W if a timer is scheduled, even if has not yet come on.

            Tried a full factory reset?

That was it TOM66 ! Reset to factory settings all is well. Its always the eastiest thing, that I manage to overlook. Thank ya much.
