I remember vaguely on the 50Q91 if the TV was on AV it would auto select the input source.
What I don't remember is whether it would do this when on TV or if the TV resumes in the same mode after being turned off.
The boards are different and I believe the 2 missing white connectors are to do with the side panel connector. On ours the "C91" which was the base model, had those missing and the front filter screen was not tinted like the "Q91" upspec version which had side HDMI input as well and additional connectors on the MB.

Edit: the Q has Anynet+, HDMI 3 side input panel, menu differences eg. movie plus in picture settings,
Thanks for all your help guys im sending the boards back so im going to have a go at fixing the y-main myself and purchase a buffer board sometime.
Ive seen repair kits for the y-main on ebay will these have the majority of the main parts that usually fail? Ive tested vs to ground and it is shorted. All the caps look ok so maybe its a couple of fets whats the best way to go about narrowing it down.
hello,I have the same tv and will not power on just cliking .
I have a good power supply ,if you cold start it have good readings.
The problem is when plug in only the main board and the CONTROL BOARD to the psu the tv just clicks ,is the main board faulty ?
Is this tv should start only with this 2 boards connected ?
thanks
Could be power board - check common dry joints. Can also be shorted X/Y main so make sure to isolate those.

For service manual, schematic, boardview (board view), datasheet, cad - use our search.
The power board was tested in another tv and is 100% working.
I tried to start the tv without the x,y,buffer boards connected but still clicking .
I have only the control board and the main board connected to the power board and green light comes on for a sec and shuts down .No ribbons connected to any of the boards.
