Hello everyone!
I recently bought a broken Ampeg Portaflex PF-350 bass amplifier head in unknown condition. As it turns out, it's completely dead. Tried powering it on with the dim bulb tester, dead short.
I have attached the schematic below.
What I found:
TH1 is cracked visibly but measures 6 ohms. Will replace it but should be okay for testing for now.
Either Q1 or Q2 was dead shorted. Don't remember which one but one of them. Both are FQPF12N60C. I replaced both with SiHP18N50C to test as I had these on hand. They are the same package, pinout, mosfet type.... -
I just swapped it from an MPG B550I Gaming Edge WiFi 7C92 to a B550M PRO-VDH WIFI 7C95, flashback is working, if anyone knows a reliable source for this chip besides taking it from a donor board, please leave a reply...07-13-2025, 11:48 PM -
Hello, i just swapped CPU(i5-8350u) from fujitsu lifebook e548 to Dell Latitude E7490 Board, all resistances are fine, laptop wants to boot but after 1 second draw of 0,3A its turning off, after pressing power on button same situation. I've cleaned ME region and same situation. Is it boot guard problem - and if it is, is it any chance to bypass this or this cpu just can't be used in Dell. -
Over the last several years I've had Android head units in my truck (1995 Ranger), there's been some issues that have always bugged me... or I solved in a less than "ideal" manner. I've designed/ordered PCBs and ordered parts for a board to hopefully fix all of these in a better way, and I'd like to share the design here.
Attached is a .zip of the KiCAD files, Schematic, Gerber Files, and BOM from digikey (ok, it's a downloaded excel of my order I placed, close enough...)
The issues this board corrects are (and what I currently am doing that sucks):
