Re: Sony CECH-ZED1U Playstation 3D LED TV - Two Red Flash
Hello, this is my first post here and I have a few questions.
1. How compatible are SOIC8 and SOP8? Because the guy above me here appears to put a SOIC8 socket on his motherboard for a... SOP8 chip? Does this mean they are the same standard?
2. If so, where would I find such a socket for my motherboard? Every time I look for a socket for this thing I end up seeing a bunch of programmer modules that convert SOP8 to DIP8 and whatnot. I don't want that. Am I not looking in the right places?

Re: Sony CECH-ZED1U Playstation 3D LED TV - Two Red Flash
Hi all,
i found why software doesn't detects chips: the contacts between chip and the adapter are bad, i have to push on the chip while programming it.So detection ok and programming ok.
My screen worksand i have put a soic8 socket 200mil on motherboard for easy replacing chip, and have 5 chip ready for next "red light blink bug".
Thank you to this forum and everybody for this thread.Leave a comment:

Re: Sony CECH-ZED1U Playstation 3D LED TV - Two Red Flash
ok it looks like the software is different for each programer, is there a way to select the chip in the tiny software rather then have it detect it?
Maybe that programer/software does'nt support the MX25L6406EM2I ic.
its not listed in there supported ic list
MXIC:
MX25L512,MX25L1005,MX25L2005,MX25L4005,MX25L8005,MX25L1605,MX25L3205,MX25L6405Last edited by R_J; 11-06-2014, 11:52 AM.Leave a comment:

Re: Sony CECH-ZED1U Playstation 3D LED TV - Two Red Flash
Hi,
first thank for your reply.
I have checked the pin with ohmeter, all seems to be ok.(one to one, two to two, etc...).
I already try the software you used in thread #258,CH341A.exe, but no success for installing the driver wich come with, so it doesn't detects the programmer.(tried on win 7 32bits and win 7 64bits).
If i install the driver from USB_SPI programmer, the USB SPI Tiny Tool software detects the programmer but not the chip.
And with this same driver installed,CH341A.exe doesn't detects the programmer.
Amazing !!!Leave a comment:

Re: Sony CECH-ZED1U Playstation 3D LED TV - Two Red Flash
I suspect the chip is not correctly installed usually it would sit with pin one closest to the ziff handle
I would have also ordered this adaptor http://www.ebay.com/itm/SOIC-SOP8-to...E:L:OC:CA:3160
using an ohm meter check that pin one of the chip goes to pin one of the ziff socket pin two, three etc.
I used the software I posted in thread #258 and it worked ok but also used a slightly different programerLast edited by R_J; 11-05-2014, 07:21 PM.Leave a comment:

Re: Sony CECH-ZED1U Playstation 3D LED TV - Two Red Flash
Hi all,
I have bought 2 times this screen and the both screen have this issue: "red light blinking ..."This screen make me crazy !!
I bought these eprom :
http://www.ebay.fr/itm/321477494481?...481%26_rdc%3D1
and this programmer:
http://www.ebay.fr/itm/151065888182?...182%26_rdc%3D1
But the software does't recognise the chip and i don' understand why ?
I tried on 3 different computer win7 64bit et win7 32 bits, installing the driver works correctly. The softawre always says "usb status ok" but it never detecs the chips.
Could anyone have an idea ?

Dang, had it working for a few hours then the video went wonky similar to lionitusofsparta's. Figured the EEPROM was corrupt, so I desoldered the chip but accidentally lifted the solder pads for pin 6/7. Anyone know if there are any alternate points?
Edit: dang, tried to remove it again and lifted a few more pads. Going to give this a break for a little bit.Leave a comment:

Re: Sony CECH-ZED1U Playstation 3D LED TV - Two Red Flash
Another thing that sounds strange to me is that it comes with only one eeprom for the two versions of the mainboard. My understanding was that each mainboard needs a different firmware binary.Leave a comment:

I have no idea, I never had to replace any regulators, ask the guy selling them why he thinks they should be replaced.Leave a comment:

I messed up the original motherboard trying to replace the U4 eeprom(two blinking red light issue), which is why I ordered another one.Last edited by lionitusofsparta; 07-26-2014, 03:00 PM.Leave a comment:

"replaced the motherboard...and this is what comes up."
looks like he replaced the motherboard, not the eeprom, so it could have a corrupt eeprom or something else wrong with the replacement motherboard.
What was wrong with the original motherboard? and why did you replace it.Leave a comment:

by IhandyrepairHI guys
I got here a Sony 65X950G - I tried to find any repairs guides for this model but not many online
here is the issue
I have Sony and android logo. but then 4 led red flash lights front of the tv
I have 3.3v ref. 12v reg then T con 12v when I press the power on button
but then I get black screen and 4 red flash light at the front LED
but I get 3 led flash on the LED driver board.
I check that few X900F or C YouTube repairs, seems that if you have 4 led red flash it could be due of LED black light error
so I tried... -
by ekozeko333Hi all,
I’m trying to recover a Lenovo Yoga Slim 7-14ARE05 with board DA0LS3MBAF0 Rev:F. I’ve run into an unusual issue where USB-C PD is stuck at 4.7–5V and the system won’t boot (keyboard lights flash briefly, then nothing).
🔥 The Problem Started After Suspected ESD/PD Fault
I experienced a power issue or ESD event through a USB-C charger
After that, the NX20P5090 power switch was visibly burned and was replaced
Now the PD controller always negotiates 5V @ 2A, even with known-good chargers

Flashed...-

by corrizeHello, I'm stuck in troubleshooting…
The flash system works like that : when the (mechanic) flash button is pressed, the flash mecanically pop up, and a circuit buck boost elevate 7v (batt) to 200-300v (?) for charging the big capacitor. And when the photo shoot button is pressed, the capacitor is discharged in the xeon light.
In the D800, there is a first « power board » close to the battery. 2 wires (batt 7v) goes to another little « flash board ». I measured 7v, so ok.
When I press the flash button, it's detected by the system, flash icon appear on LDC display.... -
by protonusr22Hello,
I own a Sony 49XH9505 123.2cm Smart Android 4k quite new bough brand new in 2021. Just after the warranty has expired it had died on me.
The symptoms are the following: right after turning on backlight turns on and this loading screen appears, than the display turns off and the red led flashes four times.
Any idea how to fix it or if it at least fixable? Does this sign related maybe some SoC/DSP and its circuits or just some simple power supply issues somewhere ?
Many thanks in advance,2 Photos -
