    Matsui/Vestel 42" M42LW508 (I think!) LCD

This model uses the 17PW16/2 Vestel PSU. The following info will also apply to the following PSU's

    17PW15-8 17PW15-9 17PW20 17PW20.1 17P20v1 17PW20v2
    17PW16-1 17PW16-2

This set--which I Think is a M42LW508 has no rear cover/back--hence not sure of its model number....

The fault was, Intermittent stuck in Stby, and intermittent going to standby. Sometimes you could bring it out of standby sometimes not, sometimes the stby light would come on, sometimes not.

Digging round on the web, it appears there's a mod kit for this, consisting of a number of caps and a Voltage Regulator/Transistor.

    The caps reference-numbers are-

C877 and C878, 0.018uF 650V--well known on this forum allegedly.

The other four are smaller leccy-litics C892 and C801 on the Primary (Live) side of the 5V SMPS.

The other two are C901 and C817. These two are the smoothing and post regulator decoupling of the 5V line, on the 'safe' side of the PSU.

The IC 829 Or Transistor--depending on the PSU version--Q809 should also be replaced.
--The regulator is a 78L05 5V reg. Not sure of the transistor--as I didnt buy the kit, I made it up from stock, and my psu version used the IC rather than the transistor.

Ive just changed the caps in this set and not the regulator IC. (didnt have one in stock) It has performed faultlessly since. The 5V line is now clean and exactly 4.99V when on.

The removed caps look in perfect condition, no signs of issues. I'll check them when I get hold of ESR meter....

I post here cause i found it was the best place i hope i was right.

Then i have a vestel 17pw16-2 board with only one capacitor of 33nf as c878. When i change the capacitor the hitachi tv set start. However 3 or 4 hours of use the capacitor us dead again... I think the capacitor die cause bad frequency or over voltage... But which part are responsable of this? If someone can help me understand that i will be thankfull.
By the way i am already thankfull for the time you have read me and for all the content of this website.

        Hitachi 32HAE2351 Vestel 17MB171 - Rotate Image
        Mainboard: VESTEL 17MB171 Chassis: VES315WNGB - 2D - N52
The TV was stuck on the logo and I couldn't access the update menu.
I couldn't find the firmware for the Hitachi 32HAE2351 and updated it with the Toshiba 32WA2063DG - Vestel 17MB171 firmware.
The image result was good, but the image is inverted.
The image rotation/mirror function doesn't exist in the Menu Server. I can't correct the image.
Do you have the firmware for the Hitachi 32HAE2351 - Vestel 17MB171 motherboard or a solution to rotate the image in...

Vestel tv, how to flip the image?
        by France_53
Hello everyone from Italy, I'm here to ask for help on a Vestel TV, I've had a Vestel TV branded "XD" with a broken screen for years, but now I've found a Telefunken (still Vestel but older) and I've mounted the panel on the "XD" TV, it works, but the screen is upside down, given that Vestel does not allow you to rotate the image from the service menu, does anyone know how to solve the problem? the original panel is marked ves315WNDS-2D-N12 while the main board 17mb110, the panel I mounted instead in the tv (from the telefunken) is a ves315WNDA-02. ... It is not worth repairing...

Help with Bush Tv (Vestel 17mb95m Mainboard)
        by FlailingEngineer
Hi, I was recently given a Bush Smart TV by a friend and the main board seems to be hanging on by a thread.

Before we get to that, my first obstacle was figuring out the model number since the back sticker has gone for a walk. Upon taking off the back case, I noticed the following Vestel parts, 17MB95m mainboard, 17IPS71 (what I'd assume is power supply) and a VES420UNVL-3D-S02 display panel. After doing some research I think the TV I have is a Bush ELED42240FHDCNTD3D, based on the matching image here (https://www.manualslib.com/manual/11...td3d.html#manu...
