    Philips 42PF5521D/05 - 2 blinks / Intermittent power up

Just fixed this one with a friend. Found capacitor 2508 on PSU board to be high ESR. (100uF 16V.)

2 blinks is usually a 12V error, although on this set appears to code for 9V standby failure. The 9V line measured only 5.5V during the error. Once warmed up the 9V line measured around 7V at which point TV kicked into life with OK picture, some fuzziness.

Upon replacing the capacitor, 9V now measures 9.5V, and fuzziness is (mostly) gone, TV powers up with no issue.

Some maldischarge -- fixed by doing SM reset (figured some corrupt NVM for plasma panel config.) Adjusted the overly bright picture too. Pulls about 300W from the wall, pretty hungry. No fans. Fujitsu-Hitachi plasma panel with the Y-buffers bonded to the panel -- don't like it!

Will try and get a video up soon.

Not working in my dorm... this is at a friends house... At present though I've got a 46" plasma and a 26" LCD in the dorm. Both work. 26" is to be sold. I'm keeping the 46" for the student house. Most I've had at once in the dorm is 3.

And when I move into the student house, got a big bedroom and a nice basement to put stuff in. Basement will be a home cinema though.

Panasonic P58V11B 8 and 12 blinks error "fix"

Bought this TV used not working, panel flashed briefly on power up and it was blinking 8 times, a quick look on SS board revealed a common fault on the 3uF 250V capacitors, C201 to C205 (C1620X in the service manual), the solder joints were all cracked, C201 and C205 pins were darkened and some sparking had occurred on them, C201 was split open and clearly overheated in its last hours, replaced that one and resoldered the others, 8 blinks fixed.

Also the previous owner broke the antenna connector by taking the TV out of the wall mount forgetting to unplug it, I desoldered the tuner...

Hi this tv was fine until the owner moved to another address,
it comes on in sby with 3 blinks and psu wont start up .
tried a power on reset by holding down power on button on rear of tv and applying mains no luck
first inspected for damage dry joints or loose foils no joy
checked psu volts ,the 12v and 24v supplies should be switched on by the main board no volts
i read on the net that the micro on some later philips may need a reflow ,removed psu checked all caps with esr meter all ok
          removed main board
          and heatsink on micro

          MacBook Pro 15" 2010 820-2850 intermittent charging

I would like to get some help on a 820-2850 logic board with intermittent charging problem. Sometimes the battery will charge all the way and sometimes magsafe would be cycling between green and orange.

I have already tried replacing dc-in board, swapping good battery, swapping genuine 85w chargers. None of that helps..

          when it is not intermittent:
          PPVBAT_G3H_CHGR_R is 12.07v

          when it is intermittent:
When the light is green, PPVBAT_G3H_CHGR_R is 12.99v
when the light is orange, PPVBAT_G3H_CHGR_R is 11.62v

          data line on the battery...

Philips 8200 series 65PUS8204/12 stuck at Philips Logo, it does not reboot it just stays on the logo.

It does power up when pressing the power button.

I already try the power button while plugin the plug with no result.
Also put the latest firmware autorun-TPM191E_R.001.004.100.000.upg on a MBR/FAT32 USB stick at USB port2 with no result either.

Could this be an PSU or eMMC issue ?
