Samsung TV poor picture/double images

I am after some advise, I have a Samsung 37" tv, model LE37R87BD and for a while now I have been experiencing double images on the screen, poor colour and quality.
Also when I switch channels I can see the previous channel in the background, or if I pause the Sky+ I can still see the pause symbol in the corner, the same apllies to the Sky+ tv guide, once I back up off it is still visible in the background.
Any advise would be apprecaited

It is a failing LCD panel. In this model, it is probably CHUNGWHA LCD in R87 series, instead of Samsung LCD screen, to save costs.
