Possible Purchase 47" Vizio VO47L FHDTV30A Green problem

Theres a 47" Vizio for sale for 150$ that has this green problem on the screen.

Owner says "There are green streaks on the screen appearing on dark images that occur sporadically on and off."

Heres a photo of what the owner says is the same exact problem.

I'm guessing a Tcon issue? But also while reading around this is a common problem that many have solved by replacing the LVDS cable.

    Any opinions?

I'd say LVDS or main board... it COULD be T-con, but it's a tough call.

I did read one story where a tech replaced the main board but it didn't solve the problem.

Just making sure, the LVDS cable is the cable connecting the Tcon to the main board correct?

I fixed a similar problem with a Westinghouse where instead of green it was pink where white normally would be.

In that case, I just removed LVDS and any other ribbon cables going to t-con, cleaned with some isopropyl alcohol and put back. Worked, but probably not a long term fix.
