Re: 40 Samsung LN40B500P3F Bad Fuse No AC Power
Youre right, I found two bad FETs. Didn't expect it much cause they were far upstream where the main fuse was.

I did see this repair kit before but I didn't see the exact label on my PSU so I wasn't sure if it was the same mosfets... There might also be a bad diode somewhere, but I don't see the exact label on my psu either.

40 Samsung LN40B500P3F Bad Fuse No AC Power
Just bought this LN40B500P3F Samsung for cheap. Opened up the TV and what do you know the main fuse is bad. Looked around the PSU and it doesn't seem like anything was desoldered. First thing I tested was the bridge rectifier, but it was tested good with no shorts. So placed everything back and decided to just throw in a fuse and see what happens.
But I did expect something to blow... Looking around the fuse I don't see anything that would cause the bad fuse except that rectifier, but it was good?
Plugged it in just for a second and what do you know, sparks flew....Last edited by XtraTN; 07-23-2013, 03:20 PM.

Re: 42" Samsung HP-T4254 Clicking and more Clicking
It was removed and then I tested it with my DCA55.
The DCA55 would just cycle in the "analyzing phase" and that was it. However I measured the other "FQPF9N50C" and it was able to take the reading just fine stating it was an N-Channel MOSFET.Last edited by XtraTN; 07-09-2013, 07:26 AM.

Re: 42" Samsung HP-T4254 Clicking and more Clicking
The tricky part were the MOSFETS. They were NOT shorted that's for sure but I was getting weird readings:
pins 1-2: infinite ("1") in both directions <--(is this an open circuit?)
pins 2-3: 0.536 ohms and infinite in other direction
pins 1-3: infinite ("1") in both directions
but I used my DCA55 semiconductor meter and it told that it was faulty.Last edited by XtraTN; 07-09-2013, 07:08 AM.

Re: 42" Samsung HP-T4254 Clicking and more Clicking
Whoo I got it, It working now =D. Seems the resistors were in the wrong order, 20 ohms where 10k ohm was suppose to be. I would guess since the resistors were in the wrong place it didn't provide the correct voltage to drive the FETS correct?

Re: 42" Samsung HP-T4254 Clicking and more Clicking
Checked for cold solder joints but don't see any. I reflowed any that seem dried though.
I've been looking at other peoples threads for this power supply and it seems that some of my resistors may be in the wrong place. Does anybody have the correct values for these resistors?
SMD resistors RS862, 863, 867, 868, 879, 878,
RX802, 803, 804, 805, 832, 833...Last edited by XtraTN; 07-08-2013, 05:08 PM.

Re: Samsung 42 Plasma Wont turn on PSPF411701A
Hey looks like I'm working on the same exact PSU as yours. Mine is just making a clicking sound when plugged in. I was wondering what are the values of the resistors RX833, RX802, RX803, and RX832?

42" Samsung HP-T4254 Clicking and more Clicking
I've been working on this set for a while. I got it with symptoms of once I plug it into the outlet it starts clicking and that's it.
Opened it up and looks like the previous owner bought the repair kit for this set but from the soldering it was pretty sloppy. So I checked, tested, and resoldered every single component that was replaced.
MOSFET Transistors 4 QX801, 802 & QS801, 802
SMD resistors 12 RS862, 863, 867, 868, 879, 878,
RX802, 803, 804, 805, 832, 833
Diodes 4 DS801, 802, DX803, 804
Fuse 1 F803

Re: 42" Sharp lc42d65u No backlight
Ah you're right tom, I didn't even notice the smaller black F1 fuse on the board. I'm getting no continuity through the fuse so I guess its bad.
Where can I get another one of these fuses?

42" Sharp lc42d65u No backlight
Hey I just got myself this Sharp LCD TV! Model Number: lc42d65u
It had the blinking green LED problem when turned on. I did the PSU forcing on by holding Channel + and Volume - and plugged in the power cable. Then Once I press the power button the green LED turns on solid (no flickers on the screen), I used a flashlight and I can see the picture on the screen just there no backlight..
I also noticed that if I hook on HDMI, I notice the picture but there doesn't seem to be any sound either.
Measuring the fuse on the inverter board I'm...Last edited by XtraTN; 06-24-2013, 02:28 PM.

Samsung LN52A550, bad screen? startup problem
Heres a samsung ln52a550 that I might buy with this problem.
The owner states "It takes 15 minutes to warmup and then it works perfectly"
Heres a photo of what it looks like when firsted turned on. After it warmups the picture looks perfect.
I know its pretty rare but could it be a bad caps issue? I remember there were some samsungs where bad caps actually caused the screen to go weird? If not, i'm guessing most likely bad tcon?...

Possible Purchase 47" Vizio VO47L FHDTV30A Green problem
Theres a 47" Vizio for sale for 150$ that has this green problem on the screen.
Owner says "There are green streaks on the screen appearing on dark images that occur sporadically on and off."
Heres a photo of what the owner says is the same exact problem.
I'm guessing a Tcon issue? But also while reading around this is a common problem that many have solved by replacing the LVDS cable.
Any opinions?...

Possible Purchase Samsung Plasma Pn50a510p3fxza Vertical Lines
Hey just needed an opinion, About to buy this samsung plasma Pn50a510p3fxza for $50. I'm guessing its most likely a bad panel. I'm probably gonna buy this panel and resell the parts inside, but just wanna make sure that the parts are ok.
You guys think its a bad panel?...

Re: No Backlight 40" Curtis LCD TV LCD4015AB
Just wondering how long does it take mouser to deliver? I chose economy shipping and it said estimated delivery would be on November 13, almost 2 weeks.. Is that accurate? If I knew I would of just spent an extra 3$ for USPS priority shipping and that usually takes 2-3 days..
