    Emerson LD195EMX

Got another near freebie but am stumped, when I plug it in I get no power but the main transfomer on the power supply starts squeeling very high pitched.

Have already disconected everything and no change.

Sounds like either something is shorted, or there is a bad capacitor.

    Try replacing the tiny capacitors.

Also, it would be helpful if we could have some images of the PSU board!

Had set this to the side and just now got back to it. Plug it in and I have no power or anything now, here are pics of the board. I have a DMM but no ESR, would like to try and troubleshoot the PSU and fix instead of replace any help is greatly appreciated and maybe I can learn something along the way.

Check all the diodes in this section and nearby sections.

        To test:
        1. TV unplugged, wait 30 secs to discharge
        2. Meter on diode test
        3. Red on one end, black on other -> report reading
        4. Swap probes -> report reading
        5. Repeat for each diode.
