I would like to know what MOV I need ,I lost the original one . The schematics says RT3 10 ohm and it was approximately 1/2" in diameter ...

Thanks , after watching the you tube channel and being pointed out to me by Harp that more windings are not necessarily better . it's time to try different options... -
this version of spot welder came in 110 or 220 volt , so I wired it for 220 volt and replaced the 4 gauge ultra flex cable which was a fine stranded wire in a oval shape to a 4 gauge welding cable, which I stripped the insulation and slid on some shrink tube so I could wrap it round the primary and got 3 wraps on it and tested. with settings set to max and tab thickness of .4mm ( stainless steel tab ) with a light twist it came apart which is way better than without the modification , but not quite there yet. can I use 10 gauge wire to increase the number of turns ? eg. 4ga has 3 turns maybe...Leave a comment:

Sunkko 737g battery spot welder
I bought this welder to spot weld some 1.5mm tabs onto batteries , which kinda worked , now I'm given some batteries that have 4.2 mm tabs that are found in Makita , dewalt and snap on battery packs . Can I modify it to do this ? The triac is a Q6040K7 which shows 6.3 vac and 36 amps output and don't know if it is accurate due to the short on time when foot pedal is triggered ....

I've had no luck on data sheets or part other than Aliexpress. I've read posts about purchasing this item and has a high failure due to quality. There must must be a factory in China that makes quality parts, I just don't know which ones they are.Leave a comment:

mosfet or transistor ?
I'm working on a LED circuit board and am testing a 8C 1A component, it has a wide ground tab on one side and 3 tabs on the other and the center tab is grounded also. the circuit board has it as a V2 component ,so is this a mosfet or transistor ? -

IRVCM10A rectifier troubles
Hi, I'm looking for a data sheet or a quality IRVCM10A rectifier or equivalent , I can not find data sheets on this and the only place they sell it is at aliexpress and I am suspicious about there quality and at about $45.00 CAD I don't know if my wallet wants to take the risk.It is used in a Evinrude Etec engine management module ( EMM) P/N 586759 -

I tore into the transformer and can not find a thermal fuse. I have a ST3591C-13SEN transformer with 2 secondary wires, the one on Ebay is ST391C-13DN with 3 wire secondary. Hence my thought 9vac.Leave a comment:

Emerson clock radio transformer
Hello I have a Emerson research clock radio model CKS3516C and the transformer went out on it ,the label on the clock radio says 120VAC 6 watt backup battery DC 3v CR2430. the numbers on the transformer ST3591C-13SEN which I can't find anywhere for it. Can anyone please tell me the AC output voltage. Thanks -
resistors in parallel ?
I need a 1.5 k 2watt resistor , can I use 2 1 watt resistors in parallel for testing purposes while waiting for a 2 watt to arrive? -

samsung PN50A550S1FXZC plasma no video
Hello, I have a Samsung 50" plasma PN50A550S1FXZC ,The tv comes on and chimes and got audio of some shopping channel , but I have no video .All the voltages are OK on the power supply board Vs 204 Va 57 also have 18v, 5.3v , 12v and 3.3v. I put it in test mode and get different colored screens and test patterns. the logic board has 2 upper LED's that flash at 1 second intervals , there is a lower LED that comes on when the power button is pushed for about 3 seconds and goes out before the tv does it's welcome chime. there is no faint image on the screen in a dark room with a flashlight shining... -
