Cheapest one, with a returns policy. I'd try a reflow first to be honest. You should try and get a board from the same TV model because some Sony TVs have compatibility issues.

Thanks Tom. Left the tv since last post as wasn't switching on. Just came back to it and lost picture in about 50 seconds with no heat. What I have noticed is the processor is quite hot to touch in standby, almost have to remove finger as gets that hot. Probably shouldn't have touched :/
unplugged and left a few minutes just in case it was cooling down from being on. But it wasn't, when it was cool, then plugged in and on standby, processor became hot.
Do they normally run hot? Or is this another guilty sign?

Yeah, they run hot. It really needs a heatsink but that costs money, so it wasn't included. Got an old computer motherboard you don't care about? Pull off the heatsink for the northbridge or southbridge and gunk it on with thermal epoxy after you reflow it, and it'll likely last another 2~3 years without issue.Please do not PM me with questions! I didn't feel comfortable doing that Tom. Was willing to pay for the board if it fixed the issue but it hasn't so should have tried your advice really. Didn't have the stuff to do the reflow. Does the pic look ok above?Comment

Looks like epoxy to me.

It was weird. Ran for 30 minutes before changed board, longest time in a while!! Changed board and lasted about 10 seconds. So, could have been a fault spare or tcon? Or I don't know? :/Comment

Hey Guys,
So a few months ago my Sony XBR 49x900e TV screen stopped displaying the picture but the backlight comes on and I still get sound when I use the remote and navigate to certain apps. I haven't checked anything with the meter yet but started with ordering some replacement boards. I've tried replacing the BMKS board (used from ebay) and also completed the firmware upgrade based on Nicks TV repairs youtube video. I've also replaced the TCON (twice) and PIB.
All of these changes have resulted in the same issue with no picture. I've also tried disconnecting the ribbons... -
Previous owner said TV just went blank one day.
They attempted to open the back panel and yanked the power connector off the power supply in the meantime.
Easily fixed that and got the TV to turn on. Backlights come one with everything connected. Good Sign.
The mainboard shows signs of life (red light on digital audio out is on) but that's about it. Good Sign.
There is not blinking LED and the most importantly there is LED response and sound when I press the MENU button on remote control. GREAT Sign.

Hello everyone, my first thread here. Been lurking a lot and trying to re-learn some electronics repair during unemployment.
I've picked up a TV for free to try and fix for a friend whose set died. It's a Sony KDL-46XBR4. The issue is this:
The TV powers on and the backlight and speakers all function normally (you can hear static or a source if plugged in). It takes a good while before any picture is actually displayed (I was told after it "warms up from 30min to several hours). I brought it home and sure enough it eventually shows picture but I wasn't going... -
Hi, I have a Samsung UE50TU with:
- sound and backlight, but no picture
- when it arrived, it had a picture for a few seconds
- it keeps rebooting
- without ribbon cable between the two panel boards, it does not reboot but I have no picture
- without cable between mainboard and lcd panel, it does not reboot (but obviously i have no picture)
- when i try a tape fix, its keeps rebooting, unless I tape off pin 1 (the innermost pin). In that case it does not reboot but I have no picture.
- without cable between mainboard and lcd panel and with a jumpered... -
I have a Sony KD-43XE8005 with no picture on the TV when powered on. Audio and backlight work ok when powering on. Solid white indication light showing on front of tv bezel.
When removing the left hand ribbon cable from the T-con board, a white image is displayed on that half of the screen and a black screen is shown on the right. If I gently rub the ribbon cable on the right an image or purple black bars appear. The cable doesnt appear damaged, and if swapped with the other ribbon cable the same flickering symptoms can be seen.
