With the no signal screen showing, heat the area around those caps, and the nearby transformer, using a hairdryer. If it cuts out quickly, narrow down the particular area causing the fault. It's almost certainly heat related, just we need to find where the fault is.

I heated it up. it did not cut out quickly tho.. heated the caps & transformers i did notice a slow steady drop in voltage. from 197.4 to 195v finally it did cut out. but I got it Hot. then I turned it back on with my hand about 3 inches above the transformers I can feel the heat. turned it on with the picture on screen it ran for about 3 minutes before the picture went out. also when the " no signal " is on the screen this is in a blue box. there are some dark static like pixels. there not bad at all

The static pixels are another fault that can be corrected later, due to incorrect adjustments. The Vs should be dealt with first. Both Samsung plasmas I have serviced have had sparkling pixel problems, easily fixed.

Can you try lightly tapping the transformer and heatsink with an insulated screwdriver to see if it cuts out?

that did not seem to shut it down. and checked the voltage with no signal screen as i was tapping the regulators and heat sinks. stayed at 197.4

Hmm, try focusing the heat around this area instead.

That shut it down.. I may have used to much heat as it wont start all the way back up. it " ticks " back on but only getting 4v at Vs. may have heated the cap up to much...not sure. don't seem like I used as much heat as i did the other day. but I new I was going to have to replace some parts so no big deal. two 5 second bursts from the heat gun.

Nah, it will come back, just let it cool down for half an hour. I have similar issue with 37" Philips. Works for 10 minutes, Vs collapses and it shuts down. My problem is with PFC section though so all other voltages die at same time. Freeze spray can bring it back to life instantly.

I'd say replace that little capacitor in that area.

I'm having the same problem with my HP-S4233 . Replaced the little capacitor and it's still doing the same thing .

Samsung TV model UE50TU: rebooting, backlight, sound, but no picture
                    by TR103
                    Hi, I have a Samsung UE50TU with:
                    - sound and backlight, but no picture
                    - when it arrived, it had a picture for a few seconds
                    - it keeps rebooting
                    - without ribbon cable between the two panel boards, it does not reboot but I have no picture
                    - without cable between mainboard and lcd panel, it does not reboot (but obviously i have no picture)
                    - when i try a tape fix, its keeps rebooting, unless I tape off pin 1 (the innermost pin). In that case it does not reboot but I have no picture.

                    - without cable between mainboard and lcd panel and with a jumpered...

SAMSUNG UN55KS9000F picture fades then distorts into vertical lines after 20 seconds
                    by JJAAMM
This was my main TV for the last 6 years. I'm not inclined to throw out a $2600 TV so quickly so I'm trying to investigate the issue.

                    Problem
TV was disconnected from power for 6 months during construction. When I plugged it yesterday picture was fine, after 30 seconds it dimmed then started developing horizontal lines, picture then starts to ghost vertically until it degrades into vertical streaks. TV always displays a perfect picture when cold. I can unplug TV for 5 minutes and plug it back in and picture is restored for 20 seconds. I can also keep it in standby mode...

Samsung UE46ES8000 Blown fuse but no other signs of short
                    by jesterace
Hi I wonder if anyone might be able to steer me in the right direction. I have this Samsung UE46ES8000 TV and it went bang during use. The main fuse on the PSU board is open. I've checked every diode/mosfet/transistor I can see and nothing appears to be short to cause the fuse to go. The DC output of the bridge rectifier is not short either. I've seen online that some of these models are known for having their PFC mosfet or other mosfets shorting and blowing the fuse but i'm not seeing that here. If anyone aware of these models having any issues to cause this? I'm reluctant to just replace the...

Samsung UN60EH6000F Black Screen, Backlight and Sound Good. Power Cycle Returns Picture
                    by Mgiffune
I have a 60 inch Samsung UN60EH6000F flatscreen TV. The screen went black a few months ago Sound is good, backlight is good, no menu. I replaced the TCon board with a used board purchased from Ebay. It worked fine for a 3-4 months, then the screen started ‘fading' back. Once again, sound is good, backlight is good, no menu. However, this time the picture looks fine for about 10-15 minutes, then fades back. If I power cycle the TV, the display reappears, for another 10-15 minutes, then fades black again. Repeatable ever time.

I ordered a supposedly ‘new' Tcon board this time, and
