See voltages below:

OK, you will need to check the voltages at the test points on the T-CON board. If you look real close at the board, you will see exposed round copper pads with white circles.
Please check these points:
V3D3 3.295
V1D8 1.792
VGL -5.96 (polarity appears to change here)
AVDD 12.68
VGH 24.36
VGHC 23.38

And also the readings on all 3 pins of U200. 1.792, 0.002, 3.297
The T-CON is about $40.

How do those voltages look? Anything off? Is that polarity change a red flag or is that normal?

Didn't notice this post. Those voltages look fine to me. I doubt they would cause the issue.

I had this same model with a video issue that got better with the TV being on for awhile, determined it was the main board but never tried reflowing it, I think that may be the case here.

Never tried the oven thing because I didn't know about it, Tom can tell you how to do it..

Interesting thought. I haven't tried just letting it sit on for a while.

I'm all for reflowing the boards even just as a "what the hell" possibility.

In this case, which one is the "main" board you refer to? Is that the power supply? The t-con? The one with the tuner and video inputs? or the one which i'm speculating has to do with power inversion for the display?

Main board is the one with video inputs on it.

Reflow is best done in an oven. The one used to cook chips and pizza on a late student night.

i considered that, but i hate to fill up my nice food oven with all that nasty off-gassing and toxic chemicals and whatnot...

Well, in a desperate attempt to avoid a reflow, I replaced the t-con. Sure enough, the unit starts right up!
