You need to check in a dark room, if the panel does not glow, then something is wrong, but otherwise, I expect a dim glow to be visible.

I checked it in a dark basement after the sun went down. I don't see any glow whatsoever.

Very odd, it does worry me that there is a panel fault, but I have never heard of an LG with it...
It could still be a Y-buffer fault. Cannot rule that out at present.
