Put make and model number in thread title ! ! !

PLEASE When you post here with just "TV Blows fuses" or "TV wont turn on" as a thread title, technicians here would like to know what type of TV it is before clicking on your post. The techs here have worked on many different sets and some can easily put their finger on the common failures for that particular set are, if we knew what the heck it was.

Another reason for this request is for easier searching. I'd rather go to the "Advance Search" option and type in a set model number and "search only in thread title" to find threads pertaining to the set that I want to find information on. Searching throughout threads non related just to find that someone mentioned a model number is a waste of time.

Post clear pictures using "Manage Attachments" on the bottom of the posting page and you will get tons of help here in a very short time.

help parts identification for sony kd-55XD9305 CEI
    by gifogifo
    Hello everyone,
as indicated in the title i'm trying to identify the "right parts" to fix my sony 55xd9305.
the issue is already been identified in the motherboard since it seems that the main rom chip deteriorated and the tv can no longer boot (incredible in my opinion but that's it)
I can get full picture while booting from the usb to try "force" a firmware upgrade but the process stops after some minutes with a sony logo and a blank screen (it's on, i can see backlight).

So, i was searching for a replacement Motherboard (the memory chip swap...

You have a laptop that does not power on, powers on but shows no image, crashes, etc… You want to fix it but you don't know where to start.

    There are 2 situations:
    1. You just want your laptop fixed
    2. You want to learn about fixing laptops

Sorry, but if you're in situation number 1, we recommend you to use the services of a trustworthy professional repair shop.
Unfortunately, if you're not serious about learning, you will waste your time and money, and you will make us waste our time as well.

If you are in situation number 2, then please continue and...

I believe Chip 2 is BIN is the main one as it contained the Windows product key, marked with XXXXX for now.

    SN: PF3G1REP
    MODEL: 20KW-00J1AU

PROBLEM: Turns on blank screen, charging circuitry motherboard looks good. I have tried another firmware here - but resulted in 5V will not go to 20v due to different PD firmware I believe - using the current firmware it does go to 20V.

Requesting a firmware clean/BIOS region cleaned. Here is output from ME Analyzer:

Changing model number 5500 to 5510
    by diamon
I would like to place a Dell Latitude 5500 (black color) motherboard into a Dell Latitude 5510 (silver color) chassis .
How can I change the model number of this laptop?.
When you're entering the bios (F12), you see in the left corner Latitude 5500, I would like to have this changed into Latitude 5510

I have already edited the 5500 bios bin file with HxD, and changed the 5500 into 5510, but after re-flashing and soldering the chip back, the name in the left corner is still Dell Latitude 5510 (have entered the ServiceTag of the 5510 chassis).
    Have uploaded the original...
