My Philips 32fp5320/26 had a fried master inverter bd, I replaced the master & slave with new bd's & the unit work fine for about 15 hours of run time, then when turned on, no pix, snd ok. The inverters stopped runnung. In deperation, i swapped out the slave bd with the orginal & it worked ok for about another 15 hours, now the same symptom again. I can not find any NG parts on the inverters. Is it looking like I got weak fl tubes? Ed P

Re: philips 32pf5320/26 inverter failure
The 24 volt source is fine, has no ripple. I have 3.2 volt input from the control bd. The master inverter bd is 6632L-0189 & the slave is 6632L-0190a.
The orginal master inverter bd had blown ele. caps , open 6.amp smd fuse, & shorted driver IC's. The unit worked ok after changing both boards for about 15 hours. I am ordering repl bds now. sometimes when I probe for signal with my scope, the inverters start working. I am thinking that I got a marginal new inverter bd. can anyone input on this symptom? searching**** ecp

by npielawskiI will just preface all this by saying that I have a fairly technical background but have never attempted SMD electronics diagnostics and repair before, I really like the idea and want to learn.
I have a MacBook Pro late 2016 that died maybe four years ago. Over the course of 30 seconds, it got slower and stuttered, until it froze for a second and died. No click from the trackpad anymore, nothing. I started getting interested in electronics repair and decided to give it a shot, so I opened it, removed the battery (one cell was puffy), took out the motherboard and experimented with...10-15-2025, 01:53 AM -
by sam_sam_samThis is my son’s cooler for his semi truck for his drinks the other day it started short cycling ( running for a second or two then shutting down ) and restarting four or five times then going into an error power cycle the controller then it would do the same thing again
Found a 47uf@63 volts double the ESR value of a new one
The 220uf@16 volts same as a new but 220uf@35 volt replacement capacitor
The main filtering capacitor was not replaced because I did not have that was not too tall
Where the 220uf capacitor is some type of switching power...08-30-2022, 05:28 PM -
by eccerr0rMy cheap crappy 1KW grid tie inverter (GTI) seems to keep blowing IGBTs. When I first got it, it had two failed IGBTs. It used four 60N100's (TO264). I bought 5 from a dubious source (fleabay) and replaced just the two that were dead. The GTI worked for almost two years but recently one of the two that I replaced failed. Since I had three spares, I replaced the dead one. Then a few weeks later it failed again. Weird. Well since I bought dubious China-sourced IGBTs from fleabay it could very well just be a mixture of fakes. I replaced it, but then a day later it failed again! I put in the last...

by JFarmI picked this TV out of a trash pile. When I plug it in I can hear the relay on the power supply “click” almost immediately, and then 7 seconds later there is another “click” and the power/OPC LEDs start to flash: two pulses on the power LED, one on the OPC LED. I didn't notice any sign of life from the backlight, but more on that below.....
The service manual () says this is a “DET_10V error: UR10V or A9V is not applied”, but after checking several voltages I believe the power unit is tripping off due to an overload as soon as the backlight tries to come on; this kills... - Loading...
