where can i get lcd tv's to fix

Sorry if there's a better spot to post this. I was just wondering how some of you get your tv's to repair. I would like to find a lot of several for repair and parts. I have tried talking to some local hotels, bars, and recycling centers/programs with no luck.
Craigslist has been the best so far

I use Gumtree, which is basically Craiglist for the UK, but people actually use it

Aside from that, I've got three from local tips... but I don't bother with that any more as they started demanding ridiculous prices.

I find mine on ebay and the for sale groups on facebook.
Do NOT touch heatsinks when testing for voltages as they may be LIVE!

Is unlocking UEFI worth the hassle? (Surface Pro 4)
        by CronaxFD
        Hey guys,

Bought myself Surface Pro 4 tablet today on a local craigslist-type website.
I've seen that UEFI was password protected and of course the seller forgot the password, but decided to buy it anyway.
Really needed such a tablet to use with RomRaider to do some logging/tuning on my car.
It has secure boot turned off and boots from USB, so I've formatted SSD and have done clean win10 install.

Works fine, but wanted to ask, are there any real security risks associated with UEFI settings on Surface (remote access etc.)?

        From what I've...

HannStar Hanns-G HC194d LCD monitor repair
        by momaka
Normally, I never post repairs this quick after I do them, because… I am usually very slow. But today, I’m making an exception here. Why? No idea. Perhaps only because the repair details are still “fresh” in my head… which is ironic, given this is a 16 year old monitor that hardly anyone will care about today. It is new to me, though. I picked it up last November from someone on my local Craigslist. It wasn’t very close to where I live, but was close to a family friend that I had to go visit anyways. So after watching the posting on Craigslist for a few weeks and seeing it getting...

        Lenovo Miix 520 BIOS password
        by lembi2001
        Hi all

I need help with removing a BIOS password on a Lenovo Miix 520. I purchased it from a local computer recycling center. They were able to wipe the drive and reinstall the OS but were unable to remove the BIOS password.

I would like to install Android for Windows on the device but to do so I need to enable virtualization in the BIOS.

I am running BIOS 6NCN39WW, I am unable to dump a copy of the version installed as I do not possess the required tools.

        Is anyone able to advise?

        Much appreciated

I need to block a UHF channel but not sure how to do it
        by dicky96
        Hi guys
I couldn't really find a section on the forum for this question so I guess I will put it here

I do a lot of work in one of the local apartment hotels (an apart-hotel they call them here)

Mostly I am maintaining the equipment in the 'TV' room or at the pool bar

Anyway, I have a problem with the system in the TV room - most of this was a system I 'inherited' off the previous technician who no longer lives on the island

Basically they have (see pic it probably explains it better) the following system. The UHF cabling is daisy chained...
