    TV cycling channels/source ?

    Hi Guy's...

My Samsung LE40R74BD has started cycling through the Source Channel/channels, I've removed the manual push buttons pad on the TV (for changing channels/volume etc)and also tried covering the IR, no evidence of any blown components but it still cycles through the channels.

    Any idea's ?

When it's cycling can you turn it on/off using power button or do things like change volume?

      Hi Tom66,

Yes you can turn it on/off and the volume dosen't seem to change, if I leave the TV off for a few days it's ok when switched back on for up to an hour at most then resumes cycling so have to power it down for a few days again, seems like a heat or capacitor issue but not sure which panel to replace ?

I would suspect the main board as you've isolated the buttons. Did you try removing the batteries from the remote (or moving remote into another room) and see if that changes behaviour?

Yeah I've tried removing the batteries from the remote and any other remote nearby and it doesn't seem to have the usual Samsung switch on/off cycle so I suspect the Main Board also as opposed to the Power Board, might take chances a EBay for another Main Board !

Hello everybody, I could use some help on this one... It's got me guessing...
I took pictures of all the boards and the pin out of the connector on the power supply that goes to the main board... I measured all the pins in relation to chassis ground, here are the result.

            (B13v)1. 12.7 volts cycling (Vamp) 2. 12.7 volts cycling
            (B13v)3. 12.7 volts cycling (PWM5) 4. 1.0 volts cycling
            (OD_LE)5. 2.8 volts cycling (PWM4) 6. 0.9 volts cycling
            (OD_ON)7. 2.8 volts cycling (PWM3) 8. 0.9 volts cycling
            9. ground (PWM2) 10. 0.9 volts cycling...

Asus X532FL 3.2V at source and gate
            by Lvsitano
I am having some trouble with troubleshooting a Asus X532FL rev 2.0 motherboard, which does not power on. So at the first MOSFET, I am getting 19V at the drain, and then 3.2V on both gate and source (compared with ground). Of course, the 2nd MOSFET's source will have 3.2v at source.

            First MOSFET is a QM3056M6 and 2nd MOSFET is a QM0930M3

I already checked first MOSFET and source and gate are not shorted (drain with source not shorted either). Also I have 1.7V at the LDO rail (measured at the keyboard connector, as the power button is on the keyboard).

            First...

            Hi all

There's two other threads about this monitor with seemingly the same problem. The problem was resolved in one case by replacing the entire PSU board and in the second one by replacing an unknown IC.

            https://www.badcaps.net/forum/showthread.php?t=40512

The first one has pictures of the pcbs and I noticed that there's one IC and assorted caps not populated on mine (but the PCB itself looks identical) so I thought that'd warrant a new thread.

It's my dad's old monitor. He...

Harmon Kardon AVR340 no sound on 4 channels
            by r2digital
Hello, i had this amp sitting in the closet knowing that none of the channels were working. After taking it all apart i found 4 bulging main filter caps so i went ahead and replaced those with low ESR kmet caps. However after doing this it only restored sound to Surround L, Surround R, and Center channel. The main speaker fuse on the transformer F905/F906 keeps blowing so i decided to remove all of the transistor's on those 4 channels and measure them. All transistors appear to be in good working order(turned receiver on with none of them installed and fuse still blows). Checked dual emitter resistors...

MacBook A2141 one USB port dead and one power cycling
            by dbuergi
            Hi all,

I got a 16inch MacBook Pro showing 5v and 0,3a on the left ports and right side has one power cycling and one showing nothing. The one cycling shows 30c under thermal camera. Surrounding components show no corrosion or any shorts.
Any ideas what to check next? The whole board looks clean compared to the other A2141s i saw....
