What could it be do you think it's bad caps ? OK from the beginning at first I began having trouble with the sound. Sometimes it would come on without it so i had to turn it of then back on sometimes twice. Had that going on for a while then month's later the real trouble began. I went to turn it on and I got a white screen with what looked like faded pixel moving around. So I was like hmm so I turn it off then back on it worked like normal again. Then later when you would turn it back on the same white screen again same weird pixel's.Long story short I would have to turn it on and off like 5 or 6 time's to get rid off the white screen. And ohh yeah it would also make a weird speaker noise when going off or coming on.But once you got it back on the tv would play fine for hours until you decide to cut it off. Then the same old story of off and on.So I got tired and started looking for a solution and read it could be the caps. So I took the tv apart and checked.Yeah I got 4 caps starting to bulging outward. But from my description do it sound like bad caps.Yeah im just here basically looking for a second opinion. And also could I use caps from other components of course the same caps I got plenty lying around Anyway thanks for reading this.

Re: yes another Polaroid TLA-01911C question
Well the bad caps you found need to be replaced with correct type for switching power supply circuits which have low ESR value, such as PANASONIC FM/FR series, or FC series. Generic may or may not work properly but it will not last for sure. Bad cap can also look normal, you will need cap meter that can read ESR value to know for sure.

Re: yes another Polaroid TLA-01911C question
Thank you for the quick reply and your offer to help. But I dont have a digital camera. Best I could do was i found a picture same model board. I marked the caps that are beginning to bulge. So im just wondering if those caps are bad should I just toss it. And just look for a new tv and yes those caps I have lying around their the same thing as the one's bulging just in something else im not using so im guessing should work if the cap are the problem.thanks agian for your help

Re: yes another Polaroid TLA-01911C question
I would try replacing with the caps that you have with the same value and voltage (higher voltage is OK) just to find out if it will work for now.Never stop learning
