I found a picture of this board (front) and there is not much to see due to the closeness
of the components and the heatsinks. In your pics the glue looks very brown -it is white on the pic I saw, and if it is brown it may be conductive so you should remove as much as possible without wrecking the board.
I have been looking at the back pictures onsite and off and I think that is what we need to look at. Good lighting is the key perhaps wait until tomorrow and try and get some daylight - use macro if you have it and redo the close ups of the odd parts again as well. Also front and back of the main board. - If you have a scanner try
a scan - I have heard of other s doing that.
