    LG 47LG20 TV has no video and no sound

    This is my first post and hoping to find some help here. When powering on the TV, the power light takes a few seconds to come on and also to turn off. When turning it on, the green power light stays on but there is no sound and no image. I've tried turning off the lights and using a flashlight to see if it might be the inverter board but there is not even a faint/dim image on the LCD. Almost all of the capacitors have been replaced on the power supply board. The ones that were not replaced were tested with an ESR meter and the capacitance looks fine, as well as the ESR.

    I'm hoping the LCD itself isn't bad. Can someone help me out with diagnosing this problem?

    Does the screen glow at all? Unlikely to be the actual LCD, sounds like inverter board problem.

      I do not get any glow when the TV is on and I turn off all the room lights.

        No flash at all when turned on?

        Do you have a multimeter?

        Take some pictures of the power supply (it's the big board which the mains power connects to.)

          Is there no sound at all for all av inputs?
