Re: samsung un26 / un26d4003bd power supply failure

I was worried it might now be damaged, but i havent tested it, and not sure id know a fool proof way to test it quickly. So im probably just gonna replace the cap that blew and then test pins 4-5 for the 15v.
Fixed so far 12 lcd's , 1 plasmas, 5 monitors, 0 dlp's (plan to keep the dlps at 0). and 3 atx power supplies, and 2 motherboards.

Re: samsung un26 / un26d4003bd power supply failure

Havent had any time to work on electronic repair for a while, but finally got a little.

I replaced the startup cap and it was still bad. Realized 1 fuse was blown (from when the startup cap was popped during testing), so I soldered a jumper across the fuse. Got 160v DC back across the primary of the transformer, but not getting any voltage to the SMPS IC. So likely something else was harmed when the startup cap blew.

I bought another power board on ebay in the mean time, and it worked, so I have the set working now. If anyone needs a broken power supply board for one of these tell me, though ill eventually start canibalizing caps from it.

The power supply model number is BN44-00348B though shop jimmy claims some other model numbers like BN44-00348A are equivalent. Not sure what went wrong with it , but I have my suspicions that the tranformer went bad, or the SMPS ic.

Vizio e601i-A3 - Has Sound and Display, But No Backlight - Bad Power Supply Board or Bad LED Bulbs ?
        by Tynan Dill
I was given this TV from my great uncle. He said it just wouldn't turn on one day out of nowhere, replaced the TV, and gave it to me to possibly fix and use for myself.

Upon bringing it home and plugging it up, it showed a standby light.

I powered it on and without a flashlight, the display showed the "V" but the lighting is very dim, but visible.

The screen seems to blackout and stay black, but with a flashlight I can see the display.

With my Playstation 4 connected via HDMI, and running a game I can hear sound.

        Assuming...

Samsung BN44-00262A H37F1-9SS power supply help finding blown value components!
        by cheeky2
This Samsung combined power supply and inverter was replaced a while ago from a Samsung 37inch LE37B530P7W TV. However I would like to repair this one.
I have replaced the Mosfets Q1820 and Q1821 ( FDPF7N50U) which were both blown and the fuse FM802S. The schematic for this power supply that is attached doesn't relate to this power supply as the driving transistors and diodes are D1830, D1831, D1832, D1833, Q1811 & Q1810 are nowhere on the schematic!
Does anyone know what the components for D1830, D1831, D1832, D1833, Q1811 & Q1810 should be? I ask as I did change the Mosfets...

DVR camera recorder switching power supply capacitor failure really
        by sam_sam_sam
These cheap non brand capacitors at it again

Last night we had a power outage [ long drawn out trying three to come back up before going out completely ] and when I went to turn the DVR camera recorder back today no go 3 bad capacitors ( one capacitor no ESR reading on DVR board the other 3 capacitor on the power supply board over 40 ohm this is not a misprint ) on the external switching power supply and one capacitor on the DVR camera recorder board where the power supply that goes to the hard drive disk is

Well at least I have the cameras back on line I to try the...

Mitsubishi CNC switching power supply board dead / relay board bad diode failure
        by sam_sam_sam
I was working on this CNC machine today found no keyboard functioning no control relay powering on
The screen powered on and was giving an operation error but the manual was not very clear about what the error exactly was but with a little bit of troubleshooting and finding out that the control relays not powering on and no keyboard functions we narrowed down to this one switching power supply which of course does not have any indicator LED light they are on the keyboard interface/relay controller board

Found shorted diodes on main controller relays there are 3 of them that...
