Problem with a Toshiba Model #42h81 Rear Projection TV

I have one of these TVs that i found in the garbage i hook it up to my PS3 and in 1080p mode i get a picture but when i try to play a game or go in to any other in put (AV, CABLE) the screen goes al scraggly and no picture.

I've read on another forum that i can re cap the master board but no one could tell me which board was the master board or supply pictures.

does any one have any info on what the problem is, or any pics of the master board?

im kind of a novie at working on electronics but i have fixed quite a few computers and gamings systems, and i also have experience soldering.

    Welcome to the forum-
If you read some of the threads you will see that is not really the way the forum works.- You will need to open up YOUR tv and post pictures of the boards. You will need to look/check for problems - dust - glue blobs.
Burns/signs of overheating burst/bulged caps, cold solder joints loose connectors. (easiest place to start)

Post good clear pictures of the whole chassis, and then pictures of each board, front and back and close up of connectors, (max resolution 2000x2000 and 2MB) using the manage attachments button, which is found by clicking "go advanced" under quick reply.

Please do not post inline and offsite as they slow down the loading of pages.

Do you have a multimeter and can you use it?

Have you tried the TV with DVD input - Cable/aeriel input. Is the sound ok
When the pic goes black is the sound still on and what does the power led
do. When it is in fault and you switch it off /unplug what does it do when you turn it back on.
Please upload pictures using attachment function when ask for help on the repair

ok here are the pictures o got the power board, there are two boards that are soldered to the main board i don't want to remove them unless i have to.

the last 5 pics are the main board.

A lot of the older RPTV can only support 1080i.
So before you start ripping stuff apart, go into the monitor settings on the PS3 and force it to 1080i and try that.

ok i am having a problem uploading the pics. ill have to post them later.

also yes i made sure the ps3 was in 1080i mode.

also there were two main boards in the television one for video components, and the other for power supply i cant take the power board out all the way because of some huge wires that go to the projectors ill try to get pics of it also and post them later

... in the mean time does anyone know which board is the master board?

                    Hello Guys,

I received Toshiba Qosmio X755 that has a charging problem and I'm stuck trying to figure out the problem.

                    - When battery is unplugged i works without any problem.
                    - When I plug in the battery after plugging in the charger, it works correctly and the battery is charging.
                    - When I plug in the charger after inserting the battery, it stops working. ( voltage dropped and consumed 8A, reaching the maximum capacity of my bench power supply for 5 seconds, and stop working after )

Can you help me diagnose the problem? I have attached...
