I have 2 wii's here with the same issue.
I tried a new Bluetooth module, but no luck. Because mine have no video vs. black screen.
I'm wondering if it's the AVE-RVL chip? That one looks somewhat easy to replace.

The schematic is opening, but I'm not getting the board view to open.

I've got the same board A1286 820-2915 with the same problems on the 38,39 & 40 LVDS pins.
The foil for the pins are blown off the board and require jumpers to diode D9701, problem is, I have the schematic but not the component view file, so I have no idea where diode D9701 is.
If some one could tell me where to jumper to it would be worth 1000 internet points and make me very happy!Leave a comment:

Update on the FR300. The first two canisters cracked, but the 3rd is working fine. Manufacturing must of gotten a bad batch of plastic. So far the tool is working good and reliability with moderate use.Leave a comment:

The directions explain what setting to use depending on solder and if the board is double sided or not. But I just started on the lowest setting possible and worked up until it did the job.Leave a comment:

It's not glass, it's plastic.
I work with pretty small leads, I only need the #2 setting. I believe it goes up to 5 or 6.

I love my FX888D, genuine tips last a long time. Original heating element is still fine.
Would be fine for 24 and 18 awg, but for the heavy wire I grab my larger high wattage gun. The soldering station just doesn't have the thermal capacity for the large masses.Leave a comment:

Well 8 days after receiving the hakko FR300 I noticed the clear plastic canister that catches the solder is full of cracks.

Just an update: But I did get the Hakko FR300 a few days ago, and I did get a chance to use it a few times. So far so good.
Feels nice. It does have a heat light, but wish it had a power light on the back side so it could easily be seen. If it came with different size tips and had a real stand that was included it would be a winner for sure.Leave a comment:

I hope it's true what they say "you get what you pay for" because I just ordered the Hakko FR300 & 633 Hakko Holder. It was $290 total.
If it goes through heating elements I'm going to be pissed, and will sell it for a Aoyue 474A++ or ZD985 or even the cheaper S-993A. At least if those go bad it's only $20 for a replacement heater, heck the whole replacement gun for the ZD-985 is only $44.

I read your post, it's an emotional roller coaster lol. From being amazing to a piece of junk. But it was nice seeing the good support from the vendor.

Does any one here actually have the Hakko FR-300?
I know every one says "Don't buy the china junk buy the Hakko". The 808 is discontinued, while the new FR-300 performs better it has a 25% one star rating on amazon. That's terrible considering the half price Digital Aoyue 474++ has a 0% one start rating. The FR-300 seems to have heating element failures all too common, with reports of pump failures to. Plus the stand looks useless.
I'm ok with spending $265 for a quality tool that will last for a few years, but it looks like the FR-300 is a pass. So now that has... -
This is how to fix a Deawoo DP-42SM Plasma
This model has a common problem with no-video. I've search the interweb high and low looking for the fix, and all I found were other people with the same problem, but no idea what was wrong.
It's what I call a first generation plasma, it's not a HD panel. No tuner, and no internal speaker. So it's not worth much, but the fix can be free if you have the right equipment.
The problem:
Powers on, audio works, on screen menu display work's, but no picture from any input.
