This is a magnavox 42" Plasma from 2006.
It had a Buffer chip short on the PBA: LJ92-01203A board.
It's my understanding that the TV should still power up and try to to display (as much as it can with the missing buffer) once the bad buffer is removed.
The TV still will not power up, and the power supply makes some noise like it's being over worked. So I think the shorted buffer damaged the Y-main LJ4-02759A LJ92-01200A.
The Y-main did have a bad R5028, R5090 & D5009, that I replaced but did'nt make a difference.
But I'm thinking maybe the large STK chip under the heat sink is shorted also.
No bad fuses or caps.
Any one have any exsperiance with these?
Thanks for any help!
