Type of screw used in TVs

During a move of a few TVs, I lost the screws for them.

Does anyone know the type of screw used for these TVs? (they all use almost the same.)

They look like M3 machine screws, but I'm not certain, and I've tried several different types, with no success.

At first i read this and was like, oh it must be some noob who lost the screws for mounting it on the wall / to a mount.

But this is a badcap veteran, so you very well could have 6 tv's open while moving!

If you just need vesa mount screws i think those are the extra fine metric screws in various sizes.

Im not sure what the internal screws use, but i wouldnt be surprised if they use the extra fine turns, which are usually in the pull out drawers at a big hardware store. I think for medium sized screws theres usually a 30 turns per inch and a 45 turns per inch type of screw, but for really tiny screws theres probably something even finer like 60 turns per inch.
Fixed so far 12 lcd's , 1 plasmas, 5 monitors, 0 dlp's (plan to keep the dlps at 0). and 3 atx power supplies, and 2 motherboards.

Re: Type of screw used in TVs

m3 comes in coarse and fine pitch, so make sure to try both

        "M6 x 1 -4g6g or M6-6g
M6- M is for metric, 6 is the major diameter and nominal size in mm
x 1 - Pitch. Note that this is different from how Unified threads are specified. UN threads write the number of threads per inch after the nomimal size, whereas metric designations write 1 / threads_per_inch after the nominal size. If this is absent, coarse pitch is assumed. "

m3 = 3mm, while in america they have this retarded system of screws that have numbers, instead of using the fraction of an inch that the screw is, in the name

        3mm = .118 inches

so we have size 8 and 10 screws
        size 4 is .11 inches
        size 6 is .14 inches

both come in multiple pitches / turnings, like 6-30 would be a size 6 with 30 turns per inch
Fixed so far 12 lcd's , 1 plasmas, 5 monitors, 0 dlp's (plan to keep the dlps at 0). and 3 atx power supplies, and 2 motherboards.

Re: Type of screw used in TVs

Thanks all. I have four TVs (all 32" LCD) in the shed at the moment... two are fully working and one needs a new PSU (£20 or so). I'd like to get rid of them. Just got another 32" with some bulgers all over the PSU. Should be fun .

I am looking mostly for the screws to hold the case together. I've got some screws that might fit, but it's £5 for a pack of 25 from B&Q. Rip off!

Ah, if your looking for screws for the case, then id assume those are more like wood / plastic screws. I'm not really sure what sizes those usually are, but im pretty sure if you screw hard enough you can make a slightly wrong one work.

Questions About USB 3.2 Gen 2x2 and USB4 Designs: Type-A vs Type-C, MUX Requirem
                by electronx
                Hi everyone,

I’m currently learning about the USB protocol and designing a project, but I’ve encountered a few questions that I couldn’t find clear answers to. I’d really appreciate your input!

                1. USB 3.2 Gen 2×2 with SuperSpeed Type-A Connector
According to the USB 3.2 specification, it states that USB 3.2 Gen 2×2 can support a SuperSpeed Type-A connector. This raises a question:

If we use a SuperSpeed Type-A connector, the system would only utilize 1 lane for data transfer, leaving 1 lane from the host unused. Is this configuration valid,...
