First thanks for the pictures, very helpful.

Can you get hold of a 1k resistor? It looks like the outputs of the power supply might not being told to turn on, which points to a problem with the main board.

his power supply has PFC Voltage boost power supply for the 12v/24v power supply circuits, check the DC voltage on that large 450Cdc CAP, take the reading when the TV is OFF, and when the TV is on, we need to find out if the PFC is working or not due to no PS_ON siganl from the main board or failed PFC circuits, the PFC uses the same PS_ON signal to turn it on.

By the way, some of the pictures are out off focus, hard to trace out the connections on the bottom of the board.

164VDC when plugged in and not on is good which is what I expect, but what do you get when you hit the power switch to turn it on, it should go up to 380~400Vdc.

OK, so the next thing we need to find out is if we are getting the PS_ON (Power supply ON) signal or not, but from the pictures, I cannot tell which pin of the two connectors is the PS_ON pin so we check the voltage on it. I think it should be on the connector with RED/BLACK/WHITE wires attached to it. Can we get the closed up pictures of the connectors both top side and bottom side of the board.

OK, on connector CON5 STB PIN (last pin on the left), set the meter to read DC, Black probe on the metal chassis, Red probe on this STB pin, take the reading when the TV is OFF and when the TV is turn on.

Nothing while off, Readings all over the place when Plugged in and hitting power on button. mostly neg readings.

That does not sound correct. Removed the female connector from CON5 and Hook up a 1K resistor between this STB pin and the STBY5VDC and monitor the 24Vdc output to see if you will get the 24VDC.

Could the F1 Fuse be the issue? the reading from the nano-surface mount fuse is 0.

Where is this F1 fuse? it should read less than One Ohm.

Right hand side. 5 picture on the right hand side. Connects from the power supply to there, has a F1 fuse and 2 Caps.

Looks like the 2 biggest Diode's on the board have current going both ways.

Did you try using the resistor to start the power supply as suggested?

Not sure if i have any i bought a new meter today. tho both those Diodes have both ends open and F1 Fuse is 0.00 ohms.


How big etc is the resistor?
