Have Viore Plasma tv, Model PDP42V18HA, Picture very dim, but viewable

My Viore plasma 42" tv, is about 5, or 6 years old. When you first turn it on,
it works just fine. After an average of 60 seconds, the screen gets 50% less bright. It is still viewable, with the lights out. when I turn it off, and later turn it back on, it works great again for a very short period of time.
Someone told me that it was the "Color Sequencer", but I see no evidence that one even exsists, or if there is such an item. Every thing else is perfect.
I am a novice at electronics, and have tinkered a little bit over the years.
I am used to working with electricity, and HVAC capacitors, and such. Money is tight, and I can't afford a new tv. and I am excited about the chance to fix it myself. Occasionally it will clear up to about 75% of normal brightnes, with a slight lava look in the picture, and then go back to 50% brightnes again. and occasionally go down to only 25% brightness.

Please help with advice on what to replace
    Thanks in advance.

Sounds like a Z-sustain issue - probably a Zbias voltage problem.
Please do not PM me with questions! Questions via PM will not be answered. Post on the forums instead!

What should i do? Change the Z sustain part, or check the voltage. Please explain where, and how to check the voltage. What voltage should I be getting?

I've been saying this all too often - pictures help us help you. In this case, if we know the brand and model of plasma panel in the TV (probably either Samsung or LG Electronics) we can direct you to the proper documentation for the adjustments.
