Have Viore Plasma tv, Model PDP42V18HA, Picture very dim, but viewable
My Viore plasma 42" tv, is about 5, or 6 years old. When you first turn it on,
it works just fine. After an average of 60 seconds, the screen gets 50% less bright. It is still viewable, with the lights out. when I turn it off, and later turn it back on, it works great again for a very short period of time.
Someone told me that it was the "Color Sequencer", but I see no evidence that one even exsists, or if there is such an item. Every thing else is perfect.
I am a novice at electronics, and have tinkered a little bit over the years.
I am used to working...

Re: Viore 42" plasma pdp4210ea / lg panel sustain issues
I've got a VIORE PDP42v18ha, and has similar symptoms. At start up, it is bright, as usual. then after 30 seconds the picture gets very dim, and has a sort of lava lamp effect in the picture. At that time. it is able to be viewed, if the lights are out. Every time I turn the set off, it comes back on as normal, but repeats the process. Once in awhile, it will clear up while watching it.
Please, help guide me to the correct repair part/procedure.

Re: New Members - please post your introductions here
HI, My name is Martin, From SC. I joined to learn more about repairing my plasma tv.
I am handy by nature, as I repair things for a living, but not a whole lot of electronics.
I've experiment on things all my life, this will be a challenge, but fun.
