    FSP271-4f01 power cycles

    My power supply the 18v and 24v drop to 0 then back every 5 seconds. Green wire gets 2.7v and drops to 2.6 in same cycling. Blue wire 1.7 cycles to 0. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

    You could have

    1) bad startup cap
    2) bad SMPS IC
    3) shorted output diode
    4) some board shorted dragging down the power supply

      Thanks for the reply. I will check the items you listed and report back. I have an esr meter to check caps. The tv is an Olevia lt42hvi. I took off the main board (logic) and the power board stopped cycling. But the backlights did not go on even though 24v was going to the inverters. I guess the main board send a signal to the inverters to go on? Can I force the inverters on to see if current draw is causing a power board problem? Are there any schmatics for a lt42hvi?

          Yes.
