    Panasonic PT-52LCX66/PT start-up problem

This tv is about 4 or 5 years old. (bought before the big price drop)
Since replacing the lamp 6 months ago, the power on feature has been very intermittent. It may take as many as 10 attempts of button pushing to initiate the picture.sometimes it will start at the first attempt.
It appears that the lamp cooling fan circuit is not being satisfied, but I am not sure why.
When it fails to start there may be one of two light indications.
Either a) red-light blinks once every 3 secs or so
    Or b) red-light 4 blinks, orange light 3 blinks.
I have reseated the lamp several times and removed the back and any dust from the rear grilles.
The replacement lamp is a $100 eBay item.
    When started, the tv fine.

I have a similar issue with the same TV- about every 2 weeks, it won't start- usually will after a few tries, but lately it has had to sit for a few hours. Did you ever find an answer Peter? From what I have read of other TV power-on issues, bad caps sure seem a likely candidate for the root cause of this, but have not pulled the set apart yet to look.

      I have a manual for a PT-50lcx70
      Error codes as follows:
Red light 3 blinks - Lamp failure
Red light 4 blinks - abnormal lamp temperature
orange light 3 blinks - abnormal voltage (sub+5v line)
