How old is the TV? Did you do anything to cause the problem?

I think they should cover the cost of the repair. The TV repair guy seemed to have repaired quite a few. He probably wouldn't mind LG paying for more repairs (after all, more business.)

i agree, the tv is under 2 years about 22months old, the problem appeared by itself, worth a letter i think

I wrote a letter to michaeldell@dell.com, and got the price halved on the repair for my laptop's hinges. (A design flaw in the Dell Studio 1537 series means the hinges break after about 12 months.) Worth a shot. Was just picked up by a company secretary. Don't expect a response from the CEO.

Please help me. I have same problem, been living with it for about a year.
one day tv turned of when it turned on its was in another language. I managed to access menu through control and tv menu. However as you know, you can access higher functions. Lg told me it will cost £350 to repair. i meintioned what is on this forum but they couldnt care less. it is a serious design flaw. how can i fix this problem. evreyone keeps saying main board needs replacing but im sure this is not the case

The LG TVs I have dealt with have two service menus with slightly different options. One is accessed by pressing and holding the 'Menu' button on the remote and pressing the 'Menu' button on the TV. The other is accessed by pressing and holding the 'Menu' button on the TV and pressing the 'Menu' button on the remote.

We have 2 samsung phones and 1 blackberry in our house, when the blackberry is within 4 ft of the tv it causes it to pixelate whenever it recieves a message or call ,the samsungs have no effect, has anyone experienced this and could it do any damage,

Is it a plasma or LCD display?
Are you using Freeview or does it happen with inputs like HDMI?
