We have 2 samsung phones and 1 blackberry in our house, when the blackberry is within 4 ft of the tv it causes it to pixelate whenever it recieves a message or call ,the samsungs have no effect, has anyone experienced this and could it do any damage,

yes could be rfi shielding on this model. have just noticed if phone is near any other tv in the house theres no affect just the lg 3000 ps i have another lg 50 which is a different model this is also unaffected.Leave a comment:

Last november my lg 50 lost picture and sound and most of the icons in the menu bar i discussed it on the forum with several suggestions of the cause, in the end i took it to my dealer who managed to fix it with the engineers remote, but could not explain what had caused it,
I have recently noticed evertime my daughter recieves a text message or sends one it interferes with the tv, if its within a couple of feet of it the picture and sound breaks up, Question, can the interference from a cell phone damage a tv or has anyone had a similar problem -

well when i say sorted it i mean i had it repaired locally, without a service remote u cannot enter the service menu," will be buying one of those" the place i took it to has had 3 sets with the same fault in the past 3 weeks reckons the tv was updating its software when it went wrong. he reloaded it from laptop and had to alter virtually all settings,its been working fine for past few days, thanks tom66 and plainbill for your inputLast edited by buffy; 11-26-2011, 10:47 AM.Leave a comment:

Always turn my desktop off since i started using my spare room as my office, it has no heating in there and i have noticed how warm the room feels when the computer is left on,complete waste of energy to leave it on when not using it.however i use my laptop alot so i hibernate during the day when not in use, and switch off at night. both years old with no problems.Leave a comment:

had a talk with lg today about this fault and they told me how to do a factory reset,the option for this is should be in options where i have been looking all along, this option is no longer in the menu,it has gone, it has disappeared, its vanished???. any ideas would be wellcome .Leave a comment:

it was store mode but changed this to home been into all menus cant find a factory reset, nothing in service manual on this, could the reason it skips past the input and setup icons be because there not there anymore could contol board fault cause thisLeave a comment:

yep this worked pressing the menu buttons twice together brings up menu, this has allowed me access to main menu, i have set language back to english and found nearly all other settings had been changed, but when i scroll across the menu bar it skips past setup and input, the remote seems to be working normally now, no signal sign comes back up after a few seconds, so still got problemsLeave a comment:

eeprom sounds interesting when the tv is first switched on, in the top right "AV2 blu-ray"is displayed for a few seconds then it goes to the no signal"Nini signal" display, not so sure its is a board fault, wouldnt know how to reprogram eepromLeave a comment:
